13 On The Road 06/09/14

After being absent for a few weeks, I'm back at it-- I figured if Jimmy Fallon could take a week off, I could take four. Anyhow, after heading up to Gold Rush Country and watching lots of NatGeo and Ken Burns documentaries, I've been wanting to get out of the city and head into the American Wilderness. This week features music that is ideal for playing on a long road trip as you look at the American landscape from a moving window. 09 SXSW

This is the week that Austin turns into a huge, crazy, nonstop mess of music and hipsters, SXSW is here and here are some SX bands that I'm particularly looking forward to checking out. It's hard to include everyone because there are so many bands/people/performers everywhere throughout the city, so I selected the top 10 + 1 special band that may or may not play. 08 Keep Moving

Indie rap/underground rap/a buncha rappers you prolly should've already heard of/whatever you wanna call it, it's good rap. I draw a lot of inspiration from independent artists, especially in the rap community. Their work ethic and desire to keep moving their music to the next level is something I look to for motivation for me and my photography.
