    EPISODE 32 Ft. Petey Peters

Episode 32 is all about BMX, bike culture, and keeping the fun alive. Cason and Ross sit down with Petey Peters, a longtime BMX racer and one of the guys behind the Washed Up BMX Weekend at Jarrods Place. Petey talks about how the event started as a simple way for old friends to get together, ride bikes, camp, and hang out without the pressure that can come with modern racing. What started with a small group has grown into a full weekend built around riding, vintage bikes, jams, campfires, and good times. The guys also dive into Petey’s 31 years in BMX, his racing career, getting inducted into the Florida BMX Hall of Fame, becoming a dad and watching his daughter fall in love with BMX, and why bikes have remained such a huge part of his life. From there, things get a little spicy. Petey shares his thoughts on how BMX racing has changed, why modern tracks feel more cookie cutter, the influence of the Olympics, the rise of pay to play “factory” teams, and why some of the fun and personality that made BMX special can get lost when everything becomes too serious. There’s also plenty of mountain bike talk, Jarrods Place stories, road and gravel riding, sponsorship talk, and the usual Ridin’ The Line banter. If you grew up riding BMX, mountain bikes, dirt jumps, or just spending all day on two wheels with your friends, this one will probably hit home. Grab a drink and enjoy Episode 32 of Ridin’ The Line.
