How to deal with negative family/friends/ppl

Hi Rachel & Dave!!

I have listened to every single podcast, first let me say how much I love it because you both are so genuine.. after listening to most podcast I don’t feel like you guys have talked about Negative Relatives in your life ?! I feel strongly I am struggling with it. How would you guys deal or cope with negative in laws who always see the black dot on the white piece of paper, how do you deal with people who just are so negative?! As your trying to better yourself? Do you just walk away from their life ? Do you still love them no matter what?!

THANK YOU, so much!

Disappointed; words go against your brand

I’ve been a fan for a while, I’ve adopted the Start Today way-of-life, I watch the morning show almost every day. But I’m finding myself more regularly disappointed in Rachel’s words — most recently calling someone “ugly” on the “random convo” podcast and insinuating that he doesn’t matter. This was shortly after talking about things young girls deal with — don’t you think many of those young girls thing they’re ugly? Yep, sure do. Also, in the same podcast, Dave and Rachel seemingly making fun of folks who work in gas stations - just a joke to some, sure, but to others these are hurtful words. The more comfortable Rachel gets with this platform, the more she seems to show true colors that go so fiercely against what she claims is her brand. I say this not in a hateful way, I’m just truly and honestly disappointed. We all have moments, we all say things we shouldn’t, we all act “dumb” sometimes. But with such a massive stage comes incredible responsibility. Be careful with your words and the ideas you’re perpetuating.
