A Journey into the Good, the Bad, and the Weird in Riverdale

Season 3: Episode 20: Dump Rope

Season 3: Episode 20: Dump Rope

Season 3 catches a nasty case of the "oh f**k we only have a couple episodes left," and the hosts of RDARD are left heads a-spinning.

Then something truly horrifying happens when we catch a glimpse into the soul-destroying, eldritch truth at the heart of Riverdale's blighted and accursed creative process.

RDARD Season 3: Episode 18: One Weird Trick: Lawyers Hate Him!

RDARD Season 3: Episode 18: One Weird Trick: Lawyers Hate Him!

I'm a bit worried about this one. I basically don't remember anything we talked about, other than how I feel like Euphoria (a show that isn't Riverdale) makes me feel yucky.

I think we strayed from the topic a lot because of how awful this episode was, but I am seriously not sure.

    Season 3: Episode 17: They’ve Kindapped my Grandfather’s Penis

    Season 3: Episode 17: They’ve Kindapped my Grandfather’s Penis

At long last, RDARD returns to a s****y, exhausting slog of an episode! Our Riverdale tolerance break has left us a quivering pile of exposed nerves, with naught but a hideous ravaging by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to look forward to.

Season 3: Episode 16: *Smack Smack Smack* Where's My Meat?

Season 3: Episode 16: *Smack Smack Smack* Where's My Meat?

It turns out to be definitive: An episode that sucks out loud is easier to suffer through than an episode that sucks silently.

Season 3: Episode 15: The Big Bad, The Ugly

Season 3: Episode 15: The Big Bad, The Ugly

This is an extremely bad episode where they can't even come up with enough terrible, unmotivated false conflict and have to recycle a shit plotline from within the same episode.

Riverdale is a bad show. But Arlie says something really funny, so we're good.

Loads of Fun

Quinn and Rob, the hosts, bring all the joy and bewilderment you would expect in a show talking about Riverdale. The passion that led them to create a podcast about it shines through in each episode. Even without actually going and watching Riverdale, this podcast is uniquely entertaining and acts like a highlight reel of the best, the worst, and the weirdest stuff going on.

Definitely worth your time, even if you don't watch the show.

UPDATE: Kat Kuhl has also joined the show and is now providing a ton of cool information related to the comics. Also, I finally broke down and started watching the show, and have been relistening to the episodes as I go. It's so, so much better (and worse, and weird) than I could have imagined.

The most fun and safe way to consume Riverdale

It seems ridiculous that one of the words that comes up in my mind the most to describe a podcast about a trash fire of a show is 'compassion', but they pull it off. The hosts are amazing and really take the absurdity seriously as they journey along in a slow descent into madness, never writing off any character's actions or emotions just because it's enjoyable trash. The overly horny terrorist video broke me off the show, but made me love this podcast even more. The hosts' voices are so different yet all perfectly suited to podcasting so that even aside from the great content, it's a pleasure to listen to. It's hilarious and definitely in my most-looked-forward-to shows.

The real treasure we found along the way was toilet-guns

One of the funniest shows I listen to. Rob, Quinn, and Kat do such an amazing job at disecting this absolutey bonkers show. I will stop whatever else I'm watching/listening to in order to listen to this show when I see it pop up in my podcast app.
It's charming and delightful and an absolute must!
