    Justice For Debra Blackcrow

    Justice For Debra Blackcrow

This is a VERY important episode I hope you listen. We as a community need to come together and ensure that something like this NEVER happens again to anyone. We can be the change. .......... This story is real.  Debra Marie BlackCrow was a 39 year old Oglala Lakota Sioux woman on month 7 of her pregnancy.  After years of abuse from her Parole Officer husband, Rodney Patrick McNeal, she decides to take control of her life and leave the man who was supposed to protect her.  Sadly, she would never make it out alive.  On March 10, 1997, Debra was viciously beaten, stabbed, strangled, dragged, drowned and doused with chemicals. Today I sat down with my good friend Tony Rysk of Rysk Media, he's an accomplished photographer and videographer based in Los Angeles and he and I have been friends about 15 years. We talk about his background, the arts, him giving me my first "grown up" job as well as being a bboy and all things artistic. So grateful to have this conversation and to be able to share it with you all. As always THANK you to all the guests, artists and audience for making this possible. Much love and respect and stay tuned!
