Welcome to Robocast! We are FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 5338, also known as RoboLoCo. Our team’s goal is to encourage and inspire high school students throughout Loudoun County to become future STEM leaders.  To further our advocacy efforts, our team is starting a STEM-based podcast, with stories, interviews, and more! Get ready for a fun, interactive podcast with features from FIRST teams, STEM professionals, and potentially even organizers of NAC!

    Episode 3: FTC 11112, The RoboLords

    From a small team at Eagle Ridge Middle School to champion of the FIRST mission, RoboLoCo speaks with FTC Team 11122, the RoboLords from Ashburn, Virginia about their experiences in FLL and FTC, starting new FTC teams at their school, and collaborating with the Kashmir Education Initiative to teach underprivileged children how to code!

    How do you run an FRC team in Kansas? For our second episode, RoboLoCo talks with FRC Team 1108, Panthers Robotics, from Paola, Kansas about how they run their team, how they spread STEM in their community, and increase STEM-based opportunities in underrepresented areas!

    What's a day in the life of an AWS Software Engineer like? How does someone get their first break into large corporations like AWS? For our first episode, please welcome AWS software engineer, Kate Haberlin! Listen to us discuss what it's like being a woman in STEM, how high school and college students can get their foot into the door of STEM industries, and how she overcame the hardships she faced during her college and professional career.
