    We’re Tired of “Handling it”. There’s a quiet exhaustion many of us are carrying right now. Not just “busy” tired.Not just “need a nap” tired. But soul-tired. The kind that comes from handling everything. Handling your emotions because you don’t trust anyone else to hold them gently.Handling your finances because no one is coming to rescue you.Handling your despair with a pep talk and a scripture and a “you got this, girl.”Handling disappointment. Handling conflict. Handling survival. And one day you realize…You’re not just tired. You’re tired of being the one who always handles it. I’m talking about the deep fatigue that comes from a lifetime of self-containment. ESPECIALLY BLACK WOMEN. The sadness that bubbles up when you realize you’ve been strong for so long that you don’t even know what it feels like to be supported. Maybe we’re exhausted because we don’t just want relief. We want shared responsibility.We want people to handle their own stuff.We want less harm.We want less cleanup.We want to stop carrying what was never ours to carry alone. This is an invitation to notice what we’ve been handling — and ask whether you still have to. Rest isn’t always about doing less. Sometimes it’s about finally putting something down.
