    She is chaos incarnate. She is the web that holds an entire civilization in its grip. She is the reason the Underdark trembles — and she wants it that way. In this episode of Roll for Lore, Sean and Jessica descend into the Demonweb Pits to explore one of the most iconic, terrifying, and endlessly fascinating figures in all of Dungeons & Dragons: Lolth, the Spider Queen. Before she was the Demon Queen of Spiders, she was Araushnee — a goddess of the Seldarine, consort to Corellon Larethian himself, and patron of fate and artisans among the elven pantheon. So how does a goddess of such standing end up ruling the 66th layer of the Abyss, commanding an army of drow, driders, and demons, and becoming the single most destabilizing force in Faerûn's history?
