I hate to be the one to break the news, but you've been bamboozled. Those lines we've been fed... the ones that put limitations on our worth, what we can achieve in life, how far we can go, what we do or don't deserve - total garbage. Okay, it's safe to say not EVERY listener has been spoon-fed that bologna by their past, the trauma caused by their past, or the people in it... but it's safe to say a great deal of you have. This message is for you. You're actually not stuck. Even if your circumstance can't change right now, you can. I'm Amy, a certified life coach & personal growth mentor. More importantly, a woman that's grown through what she goes through. Roots Change is my way of reaching into your world to help you out in the only way I know-how, the truth and my passion and what I truly feel called to do, coach. Join me as I talk about all things personal growth in a way maybe you haven't heard it before...without sugarcoating the journey.
Ep 79. Heal, Grow and Live a Happy Life, w/ Mandy Alexis
I feel like part of being human is sometimes lacking self-belief. We're probably born with it. Of course, we are. We are born whole, our highest self, and then life happens... experiences, environments, traumas. Somewhere between who we are and who we are, we forget what we're capable of.
This is Roots Change, a podcast about personal growth, possibility, change, and transformation. So if you're one of those people that looks at how others are living their lives and think to yourself, people don't change. Well, they do. And Megan Alexis is about to show you exactly what you can achieve when you decide enough is enough.

Ep 78. Fear or Excitement?
Sometimes when we get what we've asked for, it catches us off guard. We feel excited but also there's might be some fear. Did you know that those two emotions are incredibly similar? Did you know you know sometimes it's easier to shift fear to excitement than it is calm? Well, you're about to! Today I'm going to share a little about what's actually going on, provide a few options on what you can do to move through moments like this in a way that feels good, AND share some personal stories to really drive the concepts home.
Ps. If you're wondering what happened between then and now: my first solo camping trip went wrong and then great AND my niece goes in for her second interview TODAY... so send those good vibes!

Ep 77. You Won't Miss The Meat w/ Special guest, Brigitte Gemme
Are you curious about what life without meat might be like or dare I say skip the dairy too? Have you ever found yourself scrambling to figure out what that would even look like? I have. About a year ago one of my kids let me know they no longer wished to eat meat and I didn't exactly handle it with grace. It felt like a personal attack. I thought it would be hard, time-consuming, and super expensive. Well, today I'm joined by the Vegan Family Kitchens's founder, Brigitte Gemme. and to say we SORT IT ALL OUT would be an overstatement - but dang do we talk through some stuff! You'll learn more about what plant-based eating can do for you, our planet, AND what compassionate cooking can feel like.

Ep 76. One Goal At A Time.
Today's episode was supposed to be about misdirected emotions, not this. My plans were derailed for something BETTER. CLAIMING A GOAL. Now before you say BORING and move along to the next... hear me out. Goals ARE GOOD. So good that we sometimes have too many. So many that we don't achieve ANY. So whatever you thought 2022 had in store for you, throw it out, regroup, and get your head back into the game. Often times our plans get derailed because the universe had something different in store for us. Something even greater than what WE planned.
Ep 75. How To Spend Your Free Time
If you read today's episode title and think 'Oh boy" Amy's about to offer some high-value ways we could spend our free time. Well, technically you would be right but also you might be surprised. Actually, that's a lie. We both know this is about to be a 7-minute pep talk. Hopefully just in time to TAKE BACK your free time.
Ep 74. I'm Stuck, Now What?
Feeling stuck can be super frustrating. When we set time aside to do something that matters to us only to draw a blank when it's "do the thing O'clock" sucks. Maybe it's random uncertainty about how to move forward... just finding yourself full of resistance or overwhelm. Stuck shows up as all three and more for me and I just want to say, it's pretty human to kinda beat ourselves up when it happens. But also, we have options.
Someone who wants you to succeed
It’s not often you feel people are leading with their heart, cheering you on, wanting you to succeed. Amy is that person. We can all use this support by our side. Thanks Amy for the content you provide!
Helpful and genuine
So thankful to get to be a guest on Amy’s show. She’s a kind, genuine and motivational person. She would definitely be worth hiring as a coach. She walks the walk.
As you listen, you know that Amy is still growing and has struggles along the way, as we all do. She makes you feel like you’re sitting with her, having a conversation with a friend. She uses her real life examples to help talk through topics which really helps us to understand and relate our own experiences to the topic. I look forward to listening every week!
