Yet Another Person Proves Marriage Is A Joke

not a single marriage around me is aspirational. it’s completely illogical. the endless arguments, the barely concealed disgust, the endless bristling, the normalised wilful blindness to the lies, the last to know about the blatant affair. why anybody signs up for a lifetime of that just for a couple of kids and once a month sex will always baffle me.

I Blame Those You Met Before Me

Considering that habits are formed when there are no consequences to bad behaviour during the formation stage, or when actions are rewarded or excused, those who have enabled it over the years bear just as much blame. Which explains why you’re so shocked when you finally meet someone like me who will not lower standards for you and hold you accountable.
