Love RT sidebar! Everyone should listen - RN, RT, MD. Something for everyone!
Keep the spotlight on RTs
As an RT educator, I was pleased to see a podcast specifically for RTs as they present an interesting way to help students develop their professional identities as RTs. Tell them to read an article...meh...but give them a podcast to listen to? Great! I listened to the bonus episode 7 about stories of inspiration, thinking it might be good material to include an introductory class that I teach to students who are thinking about pursuring RT. I was disappointed to hear stories from one RT and one nurse in the UK. Really?! Of all the RTs there are in the U.S. with incredible stories of inspiration, we feature a nurse in the UK? Yes, I know there aren't RTs in the UK. Please understand, I'm not bashing nurses as I think there's far too much of that in the RT profession as it is. But particularly since RT Sidebar is nearly alone in the podcast world (as far as I know) in being RT focused, can we not dig a little deeper to find RT guests?
