Running Scared Media

Jamie Roberts & Robert Lendrum

Welcome to Running Scared Media!  In this collection of shows, we will bring you stories straight from the people who live them. Imagine lacing up your shoes, hitting your favourite route, and joining us as we literally go for a run with inspiring athletes. This isn't just a recording; it's an innovative, in-the-moment experience, capturing raw, authentic conversations as they unfold. Our brand is built on these real-time, unscripted interviews with real people, cultivating a trusted community where you're directly with the source, sharing in their journey. Through these unfiltered conversations, you'll hear their triumphs, struggles, and "why"—all while putting in your own miles—and discover what truly motivates someone to push their limits, conquer challenges, and find joy in every step. Whether you're training for your first 5K or your next 50K, every step has a story. Explore all our amazing shows, including: - Running Buddies: In-depth interviews with incredible runners.-  - Sole Sisters with Justine and Kylie: Candid conversations with inspiring female athletes. - Rucking Around with Ari: A dedicated show for all things rucking. We also create original horror audio narratives intended to motivate joggers (aka jogcasts).

Episode 50 Anaconda (1997) featuring Miles Klee

A couple years ago we released our 50th episode and suggested a requel for Anaconda centred around the story of snake hunter Paul Serone. We even recorded an original trailer and song! While not completely in line with the plot of the new film we felt the snake needed to central in any reboot. Its a good feeling to know the big studio makers felt the same way!  Have a listen and have a laugh! It's our 50th episode!  We celebrate our milestone by returning to the movie that has not only consumed our lives by inspiring this podcast, but also regurgitated our friendship. That's right, we're doing Anaconda (1997) AGAIN. But this time, co-hosts Robert Lendrum and Jamie Roberts have brought along the very funny and intelligent Miles Klee of Rolling Stone magazine as our special guest to deconstruct the madness of Jon Voight's performance as Paul Serone. Plus, we brainstorm what a prequel (or requel) of Anaconda would look like with our own mock trailer. Finally, we create the definitive drinking game bingo card for your next Anaconda viewing party. Find out who wins the Running Scared Award in our favourite horror cult classic.
