Runaway Thoughts

Jake's Place

Every week, Jake and friend(s) gather around and discuss different things together. The topics can range from "would you rather" questions, crazy hypotheticals, or a topic that is.. just.. completely random! The thoughts will run away and we will see where they take us. One of the topics/questions may come from YOU, the listener. Go to bit.ly/runawaythoughts to submit a question or topic (you can even be anonymous if you want!). I create weekly content on YouTube! Head to youtube.com/@jakes_place or patreon.com/jakesplace to check it all out.

Thankful for Sports, Even in a Hurricane [Ep. 6]

In the sixth episode of Runaway Thoughts, Jake is joined by longtime pal Jared and former teacher turned co-worker & friend, Mark. In a bit of a scatter-shot episode, they chat about the holidays and try to decide which one is the best. We then ponder the question "why do sports have such power over peoples' emotions", talk about natural disasters we have experienced, and end the episode giving some relationship advice to random r/relationship_advice users.  [Apologies for audio; throughout this episode you will notice Mark sounds great, while Jared and Jake may get a bit distant or have a slight echo. I believe I have narrowed down the issue and, fingers crossed, should have it fixed going forward.] Are you in to video games? Go follow me on Twitch @ twitch.tv/jakesplacegaming. I am giving away a copy of Pokemon Scarlet/Violet to a random follower over there Sunday the 27th of November 2022, @ 8pm MST!  Go to bit.ly/runawaythoughts to submit a topic or question for the show!  Video version on my YouTube channel: YouTube.com/@jakes_place I'M ON TIKTOK AND IG!
