097: All This Fitness and Nowhere to Go with It - with Phil Nesbitt

Phil Nesbitt phones in from “down south” to talk about what’s it’s like to be super fit and have no races to show it off. Heh. Kidding. Sort of. More importantly, Phil and I talk about the current state of the parks and the impact of COVID from his perspective at the NYS Park Police. We also talk about this being the year of his first 100 miler and what community, races and race directors mean to us.
    Special Guest: Phil Nesbitt.

096: Two Pricks in the Desert - with Jeremy and Chris from We Run the Desert Podcast

096: Two Pricks in the Desert - with Jeremy and Chris from We Run the Desert Podcast

Podcast inception! It’s a podcast within a podcast as Chris and Jeremy from We Run the Desert Podcast join to chat about the left coast, podcasting, running in 100 degree heat in May. It was a fun chat where we got to know each other a little bit and maybe brought two side of the country a little closer together. Many thanks to Jamie Shenck who had this idea and basically made it happen by relentlessly nagging me on by every means possible until I finally gave in. (Kidding, of course 😇) Thank You, Jamie!

Chris Patterson is back on the podcast and we talk about how to keep active and healthy (mentally and physically) without group, runs, motivating races and all those other 'normal things' we used to take for granted. What can we control these days? Chris is founder of Apex Performance Coaching. He is Level 1 coaching certified from USATF, Level 2 Coaching Certified from Road Runners of America, an uncannily, metronomic marathon pacer and even he is learning a little about running these days.
    Special Guest: Chris Patterson.

Where to go when your friend's eyes glaze over listening about your latest race

Chris is a great interviewer, and he picks interesting people to talk running with. A great way to find out more about the people we stalk on Strava and Athlinks.

Love this podcast

I've waded through a lot of podcasts about running, this one is exactly what I've been looking for. Race reports and talks with real runners. I love it.
