    The AI Revolution in Business Systems - Lessons from Day 1992

    Today's reflection from my barefoot running journey explores how artificial intelligence has fundamentally transformed business systemisation. After 1992 consecutive days of running and approaching 20,000 kilometres, I'm struck by parallels between consistent daily progress and systematic business evolution. Traditional business systems required enormous time investment - days to create single standard operating procedures, weeks to document entire workflows. Most entrepreneurs, being big-picture thinkers rather than detail-oriented systematisers, would procrastinate on this critical work. The emergence of AI changes everything. What once took days now happens in minutes, and those AI-generated SOPs can become autonomous agents executing processes without human intervention. This democratises business automation, giving small entrepreneurs enterprise-level operational capabilities. The key insight from my running mission applies here too - consistent, small systematisation efforts compound into extraordinary competitive advantages.     The Home Straight to 2000 Days - What Running Streaks Really Demand

    Nine days away from 2,000 consecutive days of running, I'm reflecting on what this journey has actually required. Starting June 1st, 2020, I've now covered 19,910km without missing a single day, moving steadily toward my goal of 40,075km around the world to raise £1 million for children's causes. This isn't a celebration of motivation or inspiration. It's an honest examination of what a running streak of this magnitude truly demands. The sacrifices are significant - social events missed, holidays planned around running routes, family time adjusted to accommodate daily commitments. Weather becomes irrelevant. Injuries require navigation rather than rest. Every decision factors in that non-negotiable daily run. The key insight after five and a half years? You need a cause bigger than yourself. Without my mission to save children's lives through fundraising, I'd have quit hundreds of times over. Motivation disappears. Discipline and purpose remain.
