S1 E6: Reimagining investigative journalism, with Megan Lucero

Dis/Mis: Exploring Misinformation In Modern Media

Are traditional journalistic practices outdated? How can investigative journalists act as facilitators? And could this help tackle misinformation?

In the sixth episode of Dis/Mis, Debs talks to Megan Lucero about her groundbreaking investigative work and how community engagement could be a route to improving public trust in journalism.

Megan founded and ran The Bureau Local during her time at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism and was the first data editor at The Times and The Sunday Times.

She is now based in San Diego and supports organisations and projects around the world, working at the intersection of systems change, community power, and journalism.
