Ep. 71 - It's Giving Sharpie Eyebrows w/ Brigid Boyle

Joined by stand-up comedian and longtime NYC sketch scene legend Brigid Boyle, the conversation spirals from cosmetic procedures, aging, dating, desire, power, and why fantasy is often hotter than reality. Together, they unpack slut energy vs. slut behavior, fear of commitment, and the psychological thrill (and terror) of actually being seen by another person. The trio dives deep into roleplay fantasies, Taylor Swift level yearning, why early-stage dating gives some people hives, and whether anyone actually wants to poop in the same bathroom as their partner. In the advice segment, they tackle internet moralizing around pleasure and addiction, the loneliness baked into modern scrolling culture, and whether community can really save us from ourselves. A caller asks how to renegotiate a salary after realizing their paycheck is not what they expected. As always, the advice is unsolicited, occasionally useful, and delivered with love. Zero refunds. Ep. 70 - It's Giving You Have To Be Delulu

Jana and Brian spiral productively into a full-blown stand-up special intervention. What starts as a casual check-in turns into a radical commitment to being delulu on purpose: chasing a Hulu/Netflix special, vlogging the process, and refusing to wait for permission. Along the way, they unpack rage as creative fuel, why bombing is actually essential to comedy, clowning vs. cringe, and whether stand-up belongs at protests, sit-ins, and the mall. The episode swerves hard into Taco Bell discourse (bag sizes, nacho fries, merch capitalism), holiday gift reveals, and the deep emotional power of a good bolo tie. A caller asks for real advice on creating culture camps and teen nights for Native youth, prompting a grounded conversation about food, vulnerability, not being corny, and how intergenerational community actually gets built. Bottom line: feed people, make a fool of yourself first, choose momentum over fear, and if the system won’t give you a platform... so build one anyway. Ep. 69 - It’s Giving Too Good at Giving w/ Sebastian Conelli

Joined by friend of the show and Loud About Nothing co-host Sebastian Conelli, the conversation ricochets from Staten Island Italians on the internet to dating when you’re broke, busy, and spiritually exhausted. Things get intimate: giver vs. receiver energy, workaholism killing romance, Gilmore Girls as a roadmap to softness, and why third spaces are disappearing (and what Brian has unfortunately replaced them with). The episode also delivers peak New York storytelling with examples of public crying, subway kindness, snow trash, sanitation worker appreciation, and multiple absolutely harrowing “I shit my pants in public” confessions. A caller asks for petty answers only after being humiliated by a former friend-with-benefits who tried to rope them into a threesome with a pretendian. They answer: You don’t owe politeness to people who crossed your boundaries and sometimes the most healing move is choosing yourself, loudly.
