    Ep 73. Porter & Emmett, TF Brewing's Next Generation!

    In this episode, I sit down with a pair of young men embarking on their brewing careers at their family’s brewery in Salt Lake City, UT—TF Brewing. Porter and Emmett Templin are not only passionate about mastering the craft of brewing but are also dedicated to preserving the high standards that have made TF Brewing a local standout. With Porter stepping into the shoes of his renowned father, Kevin Templin. Cousin, but pretty much brother, Emmett Templin, the pressure to uphold the family legacy is palpable, but it's this very pressure that drives them to excel and stay true to the TF Brewing way. We also explore their adventures studying in Germany during Oktoberfest, where they immersed themselves in the traditions of German beer. The conversation covers their favorite beer styles, their experiences as the younger generation on the brewing team, and much more.     In this episode I finally sit down with brewmaster Jeremy Gross of Grid City Beer Works! We discuss Jeremy's history of home brewing, and cutting his teeth at High West Distillery. Jeremy has a pallet like no other and over time has developed his love of flavors in brewing, cooking and learning to be a bbq pit master. We discuss Grid City Beer Works opening during the pandemic and how that pushed the team to pivot and see a silver lining during some tough times.     Wow, Iv'e been chasing this episode for 2 years! I finally was able to sit down with Founder and Master Brewer of 2Row Brewing Brian Coleman and be put on game! We talk 2Row, home brewing, learning and having a focus on yeast. Brian and I also discuss the new location and sprawling location which is 2Row in Midvale, UT in the Salt Lake Valley. From the brewhouse, bar, tv's, stage and pool tables 2Row is set up to be one of the most interactive breweries with the craft beers offerings to satisfy all patrons! Tune in and enjoy this episode.     Wow, episode 70 just so happened to be my live recording from the funnest and liveliest craft beer fest! The Utah Brewers Guild, Wild West Collab Fest. I sit down with Mikey for the first hour and talk Utah beer, Wild West Collab Fest, collab beers and more. Then I keep it rolling for much longer then I needed to be and sit down with brewers, cellermen, investors, beertenders, craft beer enthusiasts, runners, beerfluencers and volunteers! It was a fun episode and definitely a long one. The record time was just under 4 hours but with endless hours of editing you get to listen interview after interview. Cheers! Support the show

    Ep 68. Paul Konopelski of Uinta Brewing Company.

    In this episode I sit down with Paul Konopelski, Head of Operations at Unita Brewing Company in Salt Lake City, UT. Paul started his path in fermented beverages back in the 90's when his Dad was home brewing. From that point on beer has been on Pauls' radar. From his chemistry classes at UC Santa Barbara to home brewing and heading to UC Davis Master Brewers Program. Soon after that Paul was hired on at Bohemian Brewery and learned the ins and outs there for 9 years. Since then Paul has been at Unita Brewing Company for the past few+ years moving up from the QC department to overseeing the brewing/cellaring and QC departments. Overall Paul is a knowledgeable guy who's also down to earth and enjoys quality beers. From brewing them to having a cold one a your local brewery. Cheers and enjoy this episode. Support the show

    Ep 67. Catching up with James Weed of Solstice Malt.

    In this episode I sit down with James Weed as it's been over two years since we last recorded. James and I  first recorded at Solstice Malt where I was given a tour of the malt house and was shown how James floor malts! Now fast forward to 2024 and James has expanded what he is doing with malts, including barrel agin malts. James has a vast history of home brewing and crafting malts for local breweries. This is a fun episode where James and I enjoy some beers from Level Crossing and Chappell Brewing which are breweries that use his malts or oats. Take a listen and enjoy this episode.     Ep 66. The Proper Standard with Jacob & Randon

    In this episode I sit down with Jacob and Randon of Proper Brewing Company. I've enjoyed a few pints with Jacob but this is the first time we're joined by Randon, the GM of Proper Brewing. We enjoy a Mexican Black lager to start the podcast and dive right into that beer. We discuss brewing, the tap room, sales, collaborations and much more. We definitely had a great time as one should at Proper Brewing. There was also the big announcement of the line of Hard Teas that Proper will be releasing, this was an exclusive news break on the podcast! Thanks to Proper for that. Take a listen and enjoy.
