With the World Cup taking place here in the United States, we went to experience a match in person and discovered it was about so much more than soccer. From the atmosphere and the fans to all the little surprises along the way, we're sharing what it's like when one of the world's biggest sporting events happens right in your own backyard.

    Episode 23: Nobody Told Us We'd Miss This- אף אחד לא סיפר לנו שנתגעגע לזה

    Episode 21: What do Kids REALLY learn at school: מה באמת לומדים בבית הספר

    מערכת חינוך היא הרבה מעבר לשיעורי בית ומבחנים, היא גם הדרך שבה ילדים לומדים להיות אנשים. בפרק הזה אנחנו חוזרות לדבר על חינוך, אבל מזווית קצת אחרת: מה הילדים מקבלים כאן מעבר ללימודים, מה מרגיש שונה מול המערכת בישראל, והאם יש קשר בין סביבת חינוך, תחושת ביטחון ואלימות בבית הספר. וגם… כמה מזה קשור לזה שהילדים שלנו בבית ספר פרטי? School is about so much more than homework and test scores. It’s also where kids learn how to become people. In this episode, we revisit the topic of education from a slightly different angle: what our kids are gaining here beyond academics, what feels different compared to the system in Israel, and whether there’s a connection between education, safety, and violence in schools. And of course… how much of it might be related to the fact that our kids go to private school.

    לפעמים כל מה שצריך כדי להרגיש בבית זה קפה טוב, במבה… ומקום שני באירוויזיון. בפרק הזה אנחנו מדברות על ההתרגשות סביב הזכייה במקום השני של ישראל, ועל איך כל אחד שעושה רילוקיישן מחפש לקחת איתו משהו אחר מהבית. כי בסוף, רשימת ה״מה להביא״ הכי טובה היא פשוט שונה ואישית. בין מזוודות, געגועים וניקוד מהקהל, גילינו שלכל אחד יש את ה״אירוויזיון״ הפרטי שלו שגורם לו להרגיש הכי בבית. Sometimes all it takes to feel at home is good coffee, some Bamba… and Israel winning second place in the Eurovision.In this episode, we talk about the excitement around Eurovision and how every person who relocates ends up missing completely different things from home. Because in the end, the perfect wish list is totally personal and different. Somewhere between suitcases, emotional support, and points awarded by different countries, we found out that everyone has there own personal Eurovision that makes you feel like you are home.

    Episode 19: The Fun part of Relocating- החלק הכיפי של רילוקיישן

    רילוקיישן מגיע גם עם "רשימת מכולת" משל עצמו. לא רק לנו, אלא לכל המשפחה. בפרק הזה אנחנו מדברות על הדברים שחשוב לכל אחד מאיתנו להספיק, לנסות ולחוות בדרך. כי בין כל השינויים, צריך לזכור גם לעשות כיף. וזאת מטרה לא פחות מכל דבר אחר. Relocation comes with its own bucket list. And not just for us, for the whole family. In this episode, we talk about the things that are important to us- what we want to experience, try and enjoy along the way. Because when everything is changing, you have to remember to make room for fun. And that's a goal that is just as important as anything else.

    Episode 18: Winter Break- Between Here and There- חופשת חורף בין כאן לשם

    חופשת חורף אחת, שתי יבשות ושתי חוויות שונות לגמרי. משפחה אחת ביקרה בארץ לראשונה מאז המעבר, עם כל ההתרגשות והחששות. משפחה שניה נשארה כאן לנסות לנוח במקום שעדיין מרגיש חדש. בין הפחד להגיע לפחד לחזור, הצלחנו גם לנשום קצת ולהרגיש שמשהו מתרכך. בפרק הזה אנחנו מדברות על מה השתנה, מה עדיין מפחיד ואיך בונים תחושה של בית במקום אחר. One winter break, two continents and two completely different experiences. Some of us returned to Israel for the first time since the move- bringing both excitement and fear. While others stayed here, trying to rest in a place that still feels new. Between the fear of going and the fear of coming back, we also found moments to breathe and feel something soften. In this episode, we talk about what's changed, what still feels scary and how we begin to build a sense of home somewhere new.
