From the makers of the Limp Ditkas Podcast, the Same Old Lions Sadcast will self-destruct when the Detroit Lions win their first playoff game since 1991. Meant to be a cathartic release for long-suffering fans afflicted with the Honolulu blues, the SOL Sadcast is a brief weekly podcast because the Lions hardly deserve five more minutes of anyone's time each week. #OnePride

    We've Reached Maximum SOL

    The Same Old Lions phenomenon reached its peak Sunday when Matt Stafford and the Rams won Super Bowl LVI. Beyond the obvious conclusion that his talents were wasted for 12 years in Detroit, the return for his trade has the lowest value it could have possibly been. Add to that the Lions could've drafted his soon-to-be Hall of Famer (and should've-been Supre Bowl MVP) Aaron Donald or even Odell Beckham Jr. but chose Eric "Droptimus Prime" Ebron instead. Now the ultimate shame is realized when a portion of the fanbase has been mentally and emotionally abused by the franchise to the point where "World Champion Detroit Rams" t-shirts seem like a reasonable idea. What was a 1st-round draft pick has devolved into essentially a 2nd-round pick despite Matt Stafford making the same inexplicable, bone-headed play at a critical moment that Lions fans have seen him make repeatedly in big games over the previous 12 seasons. But the 49ers simply dropped the ball.
