Chip Stock Investor Podcast

I recently started listening to this semiconductor investor podcast with the intention of gaining a comprehensive understanding of the supply chain in the Semiconductor/AI industry, and I must say that I have been thoroughly impressed by the content and insights provided. The podcast has introduced me to a range of new companies and technologies that have expanded my knowledge in this field. The hosts do an excellent job of breaking down complex topics and making them accessible to listeners of all levels of expertise. In addition to the podcast itself, I have found the show's Discord Community adds another layer of value to the overall podcast experience.

If you judge a podcast based on how sweet and charming the hosts are, this is a 5-star podcast. If you judge a podcast based on the intelligence of its hosts, this is also a 5-star podcast. If you judge a podcast based on the hosts' investing decisions, this is a 1-star podcast. Nick and Casey share "their investment decisions" after diving deep into "the case" for each company during an episode. Unfortunately, despite all their fancy analysis, they continually make terrible investing decisions and thus encourage their listeners to do so also. Just two small examples - they have been hugely positive on "the analog chip revival" that never wound up happening over the last two years, creating huge losses for their listeners in stocks like On Semi. They also chose not to invest in CoreWeave, once again losing their listeners unthinkable amounts of money that could have been made. Yes, Nick and Casey are both witty and smart, but good investors they are not. If you want to invest in AI effectively, look elsewhere for a competent podcast.
