We also review the Wild Life lemon tart Jazz brought to the show, we also review their recent Bergy Bandroom gig. Beck is a major influence and we explore that a little. Everyone plays in everyone's bands, and Butternut Sweetheart but mostly its friends playing music together. Again, Rob and Lee could not make it so Graham and i were left to steer the bus.     EP60, Ep 1 2026, Happy New Year, we're back and we're rough, recovering from the flu I'm joined in the studio by Sam and Aaron from Melbourne's newest hard hitting high voltage riffage raw rock n roll contenders Speed Bumps. Sam has been working hard to bring a great 8 band fundraiser fest line up to the Bendigo this Saturday night. The event is called Tough as Nails and the fundraiser benefits BPU (Black Peoples Union). We chat about this as well as the new music the boys will be releasing soon on their upcoming debut EP Warrnambool Wasted, due out Feb 1st. There will be a little tour to promote the ep shortly thereafter.     Santa On Weekendz, ho ho hoes, we're in the studio for the final episode of the year, what a massive year, kinda cool, kinda a lot, kinda the best. Final ep is with local writer James Podhorodecki author of the novel Stayin' Alive in Channel Country, an honest, brutal and wild ride through the character and psyche of modern day Australia, experienced and written during covid, the story, decisively captured, paints a vivid journey of essential relationships and how they define you, relationships with your friends, relationships with lovers, relationships with strangers and relationships with the strangest of them all - the book is also supposedly about a camel race in outback Queensland. James and i have a great chat - hearty even - it goes a little long but its the last one of the year, so who is really counting at this stage, i let it run a little, its lose, its literature, its philosophy, but its mostly shit talk with a few tasty insights buried in the soup to add some flavour.
