The Art of Having it All with Christy Whitman

The Art of Having it All with Christy Whitman

This episode though. Wow. Christy has an energy that is divinely contagious. She is a teachers teacher, the type that anyone and everyone could grasp something really juicy to sink their teeth into. She channeled (yes downloaded from the divine) her first book, Perfect Pictures which was a New York Times best seller, and had developed, honed, and is now a coach of the 7 Spiritual Laws, and Law of Attraction.
We break those laws down in this episode, so you don't want to miss it. Let's dig in.
A Note From Christy: BECOMING THE PERSON I AM TODAY HAS BEEN A JOURNEY OF LETTING GO…
I’ve been known as the girl that “has it all” among my peers. A Multimillion dollar business, Two New York Times best-selling books, two great kids and to top it all off… a husband that I can honestly say I’m still in love after 12 years.
But that was not always the case. Quite the opposite actually.
I’ve had more than my share of “life” moments that brought me to my knees.
I’ve always been a driven person, and while begin “driven” can help you get what you want, who teaches us to want the right things?
What I wanted – was purpose.
But I didn’t even know what purpose felt like.
All I knew was that it didn’t feel like this.
So I focused my attention on attracting the feelings of purpose. Keep in mind I had no idea about the law of attraction, I simply reasoned to myself that if I didn’t know what something was – I needed to focus my attention on it so IT could find me!
It was during my book presentations that I began to be approached by people asking if they could stay in touch with and call upon me from time to time with questions. I was honored and for a time began taking calls (for free keep in mind) and began coaching people on the 7 Spiritual Laws and Law of Attraction.
It was from these humble beginnings that my coaching practice began. I’m grateful for every person I’ve had the pleasure to work with and I continue to take on coaching clients to this day.

Finding Love Through Surrender with Maya Stojan

Finding Love Through Surrender with Maya Stojan

My oh my, my girl Maya Stojan is a real life angel sent from heaven above. Her story is beautiful, and the way that she gifts it to us all is too. Love in a pandemic seems more like an oxymoron than anything else, but Maya has another story to share. Even though this glorious soul is so accomplished as an actress, in today's episode we focus mostly on her love life, on what her experience has been like cultivating a new partnership in a dark time, and her gratitude practice. She has so many gems to share with you all, and I feel so privileged to have had her on the show.
If you're looking for love, this episode is for you. If you're a Maya fan like I am, this episode is for you. If you want to giggle and celebrate life, this episode is for you. So let's get going shall we?
PS. leave us a 5 star review wherever you listen to this, and if you dug it... share it! Thank you so much all.
    More on Maya:
Maya Stojan was born on the 28th of June 1986 and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, which makes her fully bilingual in both French and English. Her mother is Sri Lankan and her father Czech, which explains her exotic look.
Maya moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career in 2008 after receiving a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in Actor Training at the Hartt School of Theatre and Music in Connecticut.
Shortly after Maya arrived in Los Angeles, she started booking roles in both independent and feature films and also in well-known TV shows.
The Swiss actress seeks out and pursues every opportunity to further her career.
In her free time, Maya loves to do Yoga, watch movies, hit golf balls at the driving range late at night, salsa dance and is a total foodie. She also practices Transcendental Meditation every day.
Maya believes that through gratitude and hard work one can achieve all dreams!

Life, Art, & Spirit with Kate Bass

Life, Art, & Spirit with Kate Bass

Not only is Kate one of my dearest friends, but this little lady is an absolutely brilliant teacher, a total witch, and on a path that I think you'll enjoy hearing about in this uncertain time. Kate Bass, originally from Anchorage Alaska, now based in Los Angeles, performs extensively in America and abroad in many varying musical genres. She made her solo debut with the New York Philharmonic in Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center under the baton of Case Scaglione; she also appeared in the Emmy-nominated production of Carousel, televised on PBS’s “Live at Lincoln Center.” In recent years, she has sung numerous times at Carnegie Hall (Der Vampyr, The Messiah, Verdi’s Requiem, Elijah), as well as Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center (La Farsa Amarosa). Kate made her New York City Center principal debut as Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore, a role she has taken to Wolf Trap Opera and the Colorado Symphony, and continues to tour nationally and internationally with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players. She recently appeared as Princess Ida in Princess Ida at the New York Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, and Off-Broadway at the Saint George Theatre in the world premiere of Trains the musical, as well as the Musical Guest for 24 Hour Plays at the Atlantic Theater Company.
Equally at home in jazz music, Kate has performed in cabaret at the Metropolitan Room and (le) poisson rouge in New York, and at the Hotel Café in Los Angeles. She has recorded as a soloist for numerous film scores with music by Arturo Cardelús, David Stone Hamilton, and others; her voice was recently featured in the film “Pecado Original,” winning awards at both the Austin Film Festival and the Milan International Film Festival. Kate was also the soprano soloist for Iranian singer and setar player Hafez Nazeri’s Grammy-nominated SONY Worldwide release of “Untold” with the Rumi Symphony. Kate Bass is a composer and singer-songwriter; her debut album, “Maya,” was released in August 2012, and her first single aired on British radio in early September 2013. She released her new EP, “More”, in February 2016 and her May 2017 crowd-funded album, “Songs of the Open Road,” debuted Off-Broadway at the Triad Theater in New York City. She has performed her music live to sold out crowds across America, and has been hailed by the press as “easy to love,” “infectious,” and  “one of the best vocalists on the scene today.”
Kate maintains a full private voice studio based out of Pasadena, California; as well as coaching many young up-and-coming singer-songwriters and musical theater performers, she has taught as a Teaching Artist in Residence for the Metropolitan Opera Guild in New York City.  She teaches master classes and workshops on voice, songwriting, and musical theater all over the world, from Classical Singer Conventions throughout the country to programs in Lebanon and Africa.  She currently teaches on vocal faculty at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

Alexa is a modern day Wise Woman in a total babe package

I can see where she gets it from. I loved today’s episode/candid Covid conversation with her mother, Lori Silvaggio. This woman has led such an interesting life and has much wisdom to share. I loved her stories about the first time she felt romantic love at 14 and about her ballroom dancing partner. She has such a beautiful way of describing the events of her life. I could picture everything in such detail. I would love to hear a follow up podcast of Lori asking Alexa the same questions, and whatever else she’d like to ask her. It sounds like she would really like to do that! Necessary beautiful stuff. Thank you.
