Savor The Savior

Avery Lacey

Savor The Savior is a podcast for anyone seeking purpose and truth in a confusing and often dark world. Together, we slow down and learn what it means to truly walk with Jesus—not just to know about Him, but to savor His presence in everyday life. Through honest conversations, biblical reflection, and gentle encouragement, this space is about growing in faith, learning to abide with Christ, and becoming more Christlike as we follow Him step by step. When you begin to taste even a little of who Jesus is and what He offers, everything changes. As Psalm 34:8 reminds us, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” This podcast invites you to do just that—to taste, to see, and to savor the goodness of our Savior.

My Favorite Bible passage & what I would’ve told myself when I graduated High School

Everyone asks “What’s next?” and somehow that question starts to sound like a verdict. I’m fresh off a long road trip, back with my family for the summer, and thinking about what I wish I could tell my high school self now that I’ve graduated college. If you feel behind, uncertain, or tired of trying to map your entire future before you’ve even lived it, you’re not alone and you’re not failing. We talk honestly about anxiety and pressure around choosing a major, picking a career, and figuring out a calling at 18. I share why it’s okay if your path changes, why you can take life one day at a time, and how trusting God’s timing can quiet the fear of missed opportunities. We also get real about friendships: how to be intentional without trying to juggle everyone, why seasonal friendships can still be God honoring, and how to let a chapter close without gossip or resentment. Then we slow down and read all of 2 Corinthians 4 (NLT), line by line, and let it speak. We sit with the image of “fragile clay jars,” the reminder that our power is from God, and the call to tell the truth without twisting Scripture. We also talk spiritual reality in a broken world, how to serve others with humility, and why “pressed on every side, but not crushed” is more than a quote when you’re walking through suffering. If this encourages you, subscribe, share it with a friend who’s in a transition, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What part of your life feels most uncertain right now?
