He has had to come to grips with the fact that even though expectations can some times feel daunting, if you do them the way the Shepherd wants you to then no matter what may come you will be alright. He also mentions Hebrews and Proverbs as good books to read when it comes to living a righteous, wisdom filled life.

Look at Lazarus or the Woman with the issue of blood Jesus did not rush in any instant and the outcome worked out in their favor. We have to learn to slow down to be in the presence of God.
