Midnight Call: Torrington PD Requests ALS in Banner County?

STRANGE CALL in BANNER COUNTY   (BANNER COUNTY, Neb.) -- Late Wednesday night, July 1st, around midnight, scanner traffic indicated that Torrington PD was requesting assistance in Banner County for an elderly man who fell, possibly broke his hip and hit his head near the junction of Highway 71 and Highway 88 West.       Original traffic that was posted....Scanner traffic is indicating a disturbance on HWY 71 & HWY 88 West; In Harrisburg, Torrington PD? is requesting medics to meet them at the intersection for an elderly male…    Initial scanner traffic was thought to be a disturbance call, but the Banner County Sheriff’s Office clarified it was a medical call only.   Editors Note : Other than the type of call, which is often in question, we had everything correct. Very few calls are black and white and need much translation. We never claimed to be perfect and welcome corrective criticism, but blatant disrespect for the job we do, will not be tolerated; especially from government officials trying to bully or discredit us. Cooperation will go further than outright name calling or attempting to discredit us. We have 30+ years in the media business and have full media credentials good in any jurisdiction in the United States. Those who show blatant disrespect for our volunteer service get treated equitably.   Scanner updates are preliminary and evolving, while scanner officials thanked local law enforcement and the public for cooperation and patience.
