Let’s Revisit The Good Times
Growing up I didn’t watch Good Times reruns because my mom wasn’t a fan of the show. I started watching the show in college. I can see the good, bad, and ugly of this show & why my mom didn’t like it. The good is a close knit African American family with the dad in the home and determination to overcome poverty. The bad? This family rarely caught a break. Their struggles had struggles. Florida was a poster child for piety which was rather annoying. The ugly? JJ’s buffoonery. It was too much at times. I’m really enjoying this podcast and the all the nostalgic facts & commercials.
A fun flashback!
Good Times is one of my favorite shows of all time. This is such a fun listen and I look forward to more! 🤎
