    In this episode, we watched the movie, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and compared it to the classic short stories written by Alvin Schwartz. We talk about the folklore from which the stories originated and discuss the monsters in the illustrations by Stephen Gammel and the adapted ones in the film. We introduce Jena to these scary stories that we grew up with and traumatize her with the illustrations.

Even though there is no counterpart to compare this movie to, we still have lots to say about the making of the movie, Rob Zombie himself, and gore in film. This movie is considered a black comedy, but also a great horror movie to watch during Halloween time.

Captivating!

I love the mix of humor (literally has me laughing out loud at times) but also the depth of analyzation into serious and eery topics these girls bring to this podcast.
