    Not even Joe A's love of Paul Rudd can pull Ant Man out of mediocrity. And the Bozos can't believe he feels the same way about Civil War, another let down in the Marvel Trilogy canon.  Joe T breaks out a very fun game that comes down to the wire in a battle between Blue Collar Steve and Joe A.

    Special: Punishment Films and the Current (Great) State of Cinema - The Tree of Life, Body Double, The Northman

    No Marvel this week. It's punishment time. The Bozos have their mind blown by Terrence Malick. Blue Collar Steve backtracks on his negative take as soon as Joe T begins to gush over the beauty of The Tree of Life.  Brian De Palma makes his way onto the Screen Raiders pod with Joe T and Joe A discussing a little film called Body Double, possibly the most "De Palma" De Palma film, and a big middle finger to his most ardent critics.  We discuss The Northman and the relative disappointment when compared to the majestic Everything Everywhere All At Once, and why one was successful and one was not.  And Joe A and Joe T discuss the state of cinema right now... which is looking pretty great.

    Our second milestone episode - The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Join us as we discuss where Joss Whedon and the gang from Marvel went wrong here after a strong start to the Avengers Franchise. Special Guest Bob Martignetti from Faces Brewing in Malden, MA. Bob is a film industry professional with an interesting taste in Yorgos Lanthimos films. He also likes to poke fun at us. A rip-roaring, ultra-good listen. Oh, and of course, Blue Collar Steve butchers another segment.

    Marvel drips with style when James Gunn takes the director's chair and the Screen Raiders gush over it. We discuss if Chris Pratt is a bonafide movie star (he certainly is). A game about Marvel star salaries that was more revealing than we thought it would be.

    Marvel takes a Step Back: Thor 2, Iron Man 3, Captain America: The Winter Soldier

    Joe A is disappointed in Marvel's inability to sustain consistent success in stand alone films. He also forgets his train of thought when trying to make an astute comparison to the US Military Industrial Complex, it doesn't go well for him. Blue Collar Steve could be in big trouble, and Joe T rejects allegations of censorship regarding the "Shwarma Debacle." Oh, and the movies weren't that great this week...

    The Avengers Assemble with a Secret Special Guest!

    We have reached the first Avengers film. Time to celebrate - Joe A has watched more Superhero movies in the past 30 days than he has in his 30 years of life. Congrats to him. On this episode: Joe T and Blue Collar Steve champion the cinematic prowess of Marvel's first big team-up movie and set the stage for the all-star Marvel cast to continue getting together for another half-decade plus. A Special Guest joins the Raiders halfway through the show. Joss Whedon somehow does a great job here with this film an somehow does a poor job with DC. Sam Jackson as key to Marvel success.

    Hemsworth is Hot, Norton is Not - Thor & The Incredible Hulk

    Joe A has high hopes for The Incredible Hulk after the Bozos repeatedly wrote it off. Joe T waxes poetic about Hemsworth and his many hammers. And Steve puts his lab coat back on to discuss Gamma Radiation. Tune in to hear our thoughts on the last two stand-alone movies before we get into the Avengers and "team-up" films.

    Favreau Makes the Case for Marvel - An Iron Man, Iron Man 2 Double Bill

    The Bozos come roaring back from Captain America and Captain Marvel with an actual good movie by the name of Iron Man. However, the ball is dropped yet again with Iron Man 2. Tune in as the Screen Raiders, Joe A, Joe T and Steve M continue foraging their way through the MCU with the introduction of the Iron Man character.

    Captains America and Marvel - MCU Deep Dive Episode 1

    Today we begin our Marvel Deep Dive with Captain America (2011) and Captain Marvel (2019), two not-so-loved entries into the MCU. Joe A hasn't really seen any of the Marvel films, and took great pleasure in 2019 when his paisani and two of the great American cinematic forebears Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola threw some real shade at Marvel, simply by suggesting that these films were not the same kind of cinema as say, Cries and Whispers.  Joe T and Steve M, on the other hand, wouldn't miss a Marvel film. They, like so many, were outraged by the aforementioned directors and their comments, and have now forced Joe A to sit through the entire MCU, two films at a time. The real questions is, will Joe A come out on the other side a Marvel stan, or continue to feel as meh about Marvel as he already does. Keep listening to find out!
