Butcher Axe - Australia's current No.1 ranked BBQ team

The secondhand Citizen / Smoke crew headed over to Melbourne to kick it at Meatstock 2019. One of the premiere BBQ festivals of the year, Meatstock brings the best in the country and from overseas to battle it out for glory. 2 years ago we met Sam and Michael from Butchers Axe when we were competing ourselves. It was there first comp and they rocked up with a huge crew, cool merch and a 4th place Brisket to boot. Craig Philpott - The birth of Suck Knuckle Smokers

Craig Philpott is the captain and brains behind the legendary Australian BBQ team Suck Knuckle Smokers. They won the 2016 ABA championship and are consistently at the top of the leaderboard in both ABA and SCA. The secondhand citizen crew sat down with him over a few beers and some world class sausages to find out more about his beginnings in BBQ and what it takes to compete with the best in the world.
