Second in Command: A Veep Rewatch

Join friends and Veep co-stars Matt Walsh and Timothy Simons for a weekly comedy podcast where they dive into a rewatch the Matt and Tim way -- beginning with the question, “what is memory? And is what we remember actually what happened?” They’ll also unpack the question “what’s it like to be two supporting actors on Veep as well as in their real lives in Hollywood.” So Veep fans feel free to ask your questions, leave your comments, and if you’re lucky, you may even win a free tuxedo. Expect expert interviews, cast and crew drop-ins, and commentary on politics so ridiculous, it might seem fake on a comedy show. Submit your questions for Matt and Tim and tune in to see if your question makes it on an episode! secondincommandatc@gmail.com Follow Matt Walsh @mrmattwalsh Tim Simons @timothycsimons You can rewatch all 7 seasons of VEEP along with Matt and Tim on Max today!

Love the show and podcast and the amazing guests.
A podcast that misuses a croissant

I regret to say that, while the show Veep is clever, too often Matt and Tim are not. They have the same understanding of politics as a college freshman polisci major does- one who returns home to thanksgiving and irritates his family everyone with shallow assumptions about how the other side lives and thinks. When they deign to talk about the show, their on its making are fascinating. It is too often overshadowed, particularly as the episodes go on, by ignorant political commentary masquerading as insight. There are a thousand other podcasts for that.
A Veep rewatch podcast in name only

This show started out great, I love Veep and loved hearing the hosts and guests go through each episode with behind the scenes info and extra tidbits about the show. I learned about the actual A Woman First: First Woman book from this show! However, over time, the hosts stopped discussing the episodes and just focused on “inside baseball” industry talk and their guests’ careers. I started fast forwarding through episodes, then I started skipping entire episodes, and now — only a few episodes into season 5 — I’m unsubscribing altogether. I want to hear about the show and the episodes, not your anecdotes and unending praise for industry people who have nothing to do with the show. Also, Matt is hilarious but Tim takes the industry talk way too seriously.
Love, but…

Tim cannot help himself but repeating Matt saying the exact same thing but taking twice as long. Also the way Tim says the word “scene,” man… yikes, 800 times per episode. More behind the scene tidbits please that’s the most exciting stuff!
