    Can We Overcome Overconsumption?

Becoming more conscious consumers is a pivotal step in building a more sustainable economy, but how do we deconsume in a consumerist world? When we buy less, we save money, cut down on clutter, and lower our emissions. This collective shift has another big impact — helping us to steer the economy away from disposable products, unsustainable resource use, and dangerous supply chains.
On this episode of Second Nature, we hear listeners' take on overconsumption and their tips for deconsumption. We also chat with climate activist and educator Lauren Bash about Buy Nothing groups, Repair Cafes, and her own deconsumption journey. Empowering & hopeful

I love how this climate podcast is community-centered, everyday people talking why and how living with earth-centered sustainability in practice is joyful and meaningful. Plus it rounds it up how collective action is impactful with data and stats.

The Podcast for People Who Don’t Listen to Podcasts

I never listen to podcasts, but this one is too important to ignore. They’ve found the sweet spot for length, information density and accessibility. These are truly heavy hitters with relevancy and an urgency to make change in realistic ways. I was already inspired to revisit my Meatless Monday routine that had fallen by the wayside and just that small change has reignited my hopefulness toward a greener future. Keep them coming!

great balance

I love that the fast fashion episode talks through the ethics of fashion, not just the emissions 🙌
