    In this introductory episode of Seeking SoTL, hosts Lakin Keener and Zephram Foster share who they are, what the podcast's goals are, and how they hope this podcast will impact the faculty and staff at Northeastern State University. Here's to a hopeful podcasting future from NSU's Center for Teaching and Learning! • What is SoTL? SoTL is an acronym for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning refers to the growing field in post-secondary education that uses systemic, intentionally impactful, and methodical inquiry into teaching (behaviors, practices, attitudes, and values) to improve student learning (Potter & Kustra, 2011). The field of SoTL aims to take teaching beyond a well-rehearsed practice into a scholarly activity, one that engages the instructor in careful planning, evaluation, and dissemination.
