    What would change if everyone knew animals have souls, just like we do? This week we explore beyond our domestic pets and learn about the unique approach to animal welfare at Viva Rescue, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit.  Maya Benperlas, cofounder of Viva, shares the origin of the animal sanctuary, her background with equine-assisted therapy and horse rescues, how volunteers support the work, and the innovative veterinary care and holistic modalities used to give rescue animals their best lives.
