I’m Jess, a Health Keeper, someone who tends the Wholeness of others. I guide women recovering their health in reconnecting with Nature and Intuition. While it’s true that like many health coaches, I can help you eat better and/or lose weight, the true meaning of Health is Wholeness, and I tend the conditions where it can flourish. For those who’ve outgrown the grind, standing at the edge of what’s next—the Wild Wellness with Jess podcast is where Spirit’s love story with Nature is felt in your everyday life, where we see the mystical breathe into the practical, where we honor moon phases and menstrual phases, and nutrition and nervous systems are as sacred as soul and self-trust. You’ll hear real talk about healing from the systems that disconnect us, and learning to live like you actually like your life—through resourcing, through ritual, and through rest.

    340. Money Stories: Why I Believed God Couldn't Trust Me With Money & How You Got Your Money Beliefs

What did you believe about money before you realized you had other options? In this episode, I’m sharing my own Money Story—and some of the experiences that shaped it long before I realized I was creating one. My dad’s gambling addiction and my parents’ divorce took my family from upper middle class to below the poverty line when I was around 12–13 years old. At the same time, I was growing up in a conservative, fundamentalist, high-control church where I absorbed complicated messages about money and faith. Somewhere along the way, those stories became tangled together. I came to believe that having money was the opposite of having faith—and that maybe God didn’t give me money because He knew I couldn’t be trusted with it. Nobody ever explicitly taught me that. But that’s the thing about our Money Stories: we don’t only inherit what people tell us. We make meaning from what happens to us. In this episode, we explore: • How childhood, family, religion, culture, and painful experiences shape our relationship with money• The difference between blame and recognizing how we co-created our own stories• Why a Money Story doesn't feel like a story and simply feels like reality• Becoming curious about our beliefs instead of immediately trying to “fix” them• Why I no longer believe healing means arriving at a final, perfected relationship with money• My movement from Scarcity → Abundance → Sufficiency• What the book The Soul of Money helped me understand about money as God in action• Jesus’ teaching, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”—and what might happen when we intentionally move our treasure• What it might mean to create a more shame-free, Natural relationship with Money 🌿 JOIN THE SOUL OF MONEY VOICE-NOTE BOOK CLUB From September 16–October 23, we’re gathering asynchronously in Voxer to explore our inherited Money Stories, Scarcity and Sufficiency, survival and Flourishing, giving and receiving, sacred reciprocity, capitalism and commerce, the Inner Accountant, and what Nature can teach us about cyclical Sufficiency. 339. What Is Enough? Nature's Wisdom on Money, Scarcity, Abundance & Sufficiency

What is enough? Enough money. Enough food. Enough time. Enough work and rest. Enough security for the future—and enough pleasure in the now. We talk a lot about scarcity and abundance, but in this episode, I’m exploring a third possibility: Sufficiency. Not “technically enough to survive.” Not settling or convincing ourselves we shouldn’t want more. But enough to flourish in this Season of our Lives. As we move toward Autumn and Harvest Season, I’m looking to Nature and our ancestors for a different way of relating to resources. The Harvest wasn’t the same every year. Nature didn’t demand maximum output in every Season. There were times to receive, produce, gather, distribute, release—and rest. What might happen if we let Nature teach us something about our relationship with money, too? I’m also sharing about one of the most transformative books I’ve ever read, Lynne Twist’s The Soul of Money, and inviting you into my new fully asynchronous Voice-Note Book Club: The Soul of Money, happening September 16–October 23. And no—you don’t even have to read the book. ❤️ Each week, I’ll share one of my favorite excerpts in a private Voxer group, along with a voice-note and questions to explore together. You can participate for as little as 15 minutes a week, share deeply, quietly listen, journal on your own, read the entire book, or never open it. You cannot get behind. Everything is invitation, not obligation. Because I don’t want to invite you into a conversation about Sufficiency while creating another place in your Life where you feel like you’re not doing enough. Registration is $222, with an interest-free four-month payment option, and you’ll receive immediate lifetime access to additional resources, including my Healing Your Money Story self-reflection inventory. We begin September 16. Join us here:https://jess-reid.cohere.live/money And until then, carry this question with you: What would “enough” actually feel like in your Life right now? Not the smallest amount you could survive on. Not the largest amount you can imagine receiving. Enough. For this Season. 338. It's Time For a Devotion Audit: What Is Actually Worthy of Your Life Force?

As women, there are SO MANY things we're supposed to care about: Every notification wants our attention.Every problem wants our concern.Every opportunity wants a yes.Every algorithm has something new for us to be outraged about.Every industry has another thing we should be learning, creating, posting, optimizing, or improving. And sometimes we confuse being a Loving, caring, spiritually awake person with being available to all of it. This month, in the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, the Holly tree has been teaching me about what happens when we STOP scattering our energy. And with eclipse season and Virgo season bringing their own flavors to the mix right now, this feels like an especially aligned moment for what I'm calling a Devotion Audit. Sometimes growth looks like becoming more devoted. But also sometimes it looks like realizing: I don't actually care about this anymore.I don't believe this anymore.I don't want to spend my Life force here anymore. This isn't mine to carry. If this is vibing, make sure you press play on this episode, and share it with another sister who needs it! 🌙 Follow the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar I create an in-depth guide for each of the thirteen trees in the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, exploring ecology, Celtic folklore, seasonal wisdom, Celtic Birth Essence, intuitive teachings, and reflection questions. Read the free Holly Moon Guide and sign up to receive each new tree guide in your inbox as we move through all thirteen trees together. [Follow the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar] 📋 Let’s Do a Devotion Audit Together If this episode has you wondering whether your actual Life reflects what you say matters most to you, I’d love to spend a week with you one-on-one—and here’s exactly what we’ll do: I’ll give you a fun, free online assessment that shows you what you value most in Life—what is calling you to be devoted to. We’ll identify your authenticity gap: the distance between what you say you want to be devoted to and where your Time, attention, and energy are actually going. We’ll find the biggest point of tension in your devotion—the place where your energy is being scattered. We’ll also identify your biggest point of harmony—what is already helping you live in alignment with what matters most. And throughout our week together, I’ll be a mirror of Love, asking the questions that help you decide what you actually want to do with what you discover. At a pace that feels Loving. Without Fear, Force, or Shame. 337. Can We Reschedule Virgo Season? What To Do When You're Not Motivated

I made you a FREE companion guide for this episode that'll take you through every step I suggest to help you reconnect with your motivation, stop judging your lack of motivation, and start getting curious about what it might be telling you. You'll explore your natural motivational wiring, uncover the Very Good Reasons behind your resistance, and discover whether you need to make the thing easier, more enjoyable, or more Loving—or give yourself permission not to do it at all. Get instant access to the editable Google Doc and start exploring what your resistance is trying to tell you. * Summer is ending, the school-year rhythms return, businesses are talking about Q4, our social media feeds are inundated with posts about Virgo Season, and suddenly there's all this pressure to get back on track. But what if you don't feel motivated? And what if your lack of motivation isn't a problem to solve, but information to listen to? There's a million resources out there on how to try to trick or force ourselves to do things when we don't feel motivation for doing them. Instead, I created this episode to help you stop judging your resistance and start getting curious about it. * Press play to learn about... Intelligent Resistance.  For women especially, there are endless things we supposedly have to be doing. But I believe resistance isn't laziness or procrastination. It's intuitive useful information about the strategy, timing, environment, expectation, or our motivating force. Changing the environment instead of changing yourself.  Rather than trying to change yourself, what could you change in your environment to work with your motivational wiring? It's way more loving, not to mention easier, to remove what's obstructing our Nature rather than endlessly improving ourselves. “What are you motivated to do?”   Instead of Why can't I make myself work?, we ask where the energy is naturally trying to go. Fear, force, and shame versus Love.  Sometimes we're resisting not the thing itself but the way we're trying to make ourselves do it. Expanding your permission field. Maybe the answer is not to do the thing at all. The goal isn't to manufacture motivation. It's to understand what the lack of motivation is communicating, and then decide what to do. Remember to get the free guide here:[What to Do When You're Not Motivated]   🌿 I'd love to walk alongside you If something in this episode stirred something alive inside you, I'd be honored to walk with you. 336. The Fruit Of Our Fruit: What Our Grandmothers Would Have Celebrated At Harvest

At one of our  women’s circles celebrating Lammas in the Wheel of the Year, we each reflected on the path from Imbolc (6 months ago) to now. From seeds to fruit, from hope to harvest. We asked: What has bloomed in our lives? What are we harvesting? As we shared our reflections, something unexpected stood out to me. Most women didn't talk about business goals, creative projects, or personal accomplishments. They talked about their children. For just a moment, I noticed the quiet whisper of an old story inside myself: "That doesn't count." "That's not your fruit." "You should have something of your own to show." But when I imagined my grandmothers answering the same question, I realized they almost certainly would have spoken about their families, their communities, and the people they had helped nurture into fuller Life. In this episode, I explore why I believe the fruit of our fruit is still our fruit, what modern culture often gets wrong about success and fulfillment, and why witnessing another person's flourishing may be one of the deepest forms of harvest we experience. In this episode, we'll explore: Why Lammas invites us to reflect on what has ripened since ImbolcThe old story that says only individual achievement countsWhat our grandmothers might have considered a successful harvestThe difference between rooted devotion and unhealthy enmeshmentWhy another person's blooming can become part of our ownA more relational understanding of success, purpose, and the Seasons of Life 🌾 Related Resource If you'd like to explore the Wheel of the Year more deeply, you can receive my free Lammas (Lughnasadh) Guide, where we explore the symbolism of the First Harvest, seasonal reflection questions, and ways to work with this turning point of the year. "Holly doesn’t teach me to become prickly everywhere. She teaches me to become discerning about where I need thorns." In this episode, we're exploring Holly in the Celtic Tree Calendar—its ecology, symbolism, Celtic folklore, and spiritual teachings. Holly is often associated with Winter because of her bright red berries and evergreen leaves, but in the Celtic Tree Calendar she appears in the heart of Summer. She invites us to explore a different kind of strength—not force or control, but devotion, discernment, and the courage to protect what is truly sacred. Together we'll explore: Why Holly is known as the Sacred Defender Why Holly appears in the Celtic Tree Calendar during Summer instead of Winter What Holly's prickly leaves can teach us about healthy boundaries The surprising way Holly creates both protection and sanctuary Reflection questions for this lunar cycle How Nature becomes a mirror for your own inner Life Related Episodes Episode 276: What Is the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar? I made you a FREE companion guide for this episode! This FREE instant access PDF will give you 11 easy and enjoyable ways to celebrate Lammas (the halfway point between Summer Solstice & Autumn Equinox) + 8 journal prompts to help you reflect and process the inspiration of this season. Download it now! After the Summer Solstice, we officially entered the Dark Half of the Year, though it probably didn't feel like it. Subtly we started waning in hours of sunlight each day, and as we approach the Autumn Equinox, it'll grow more and more noticeable. Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, is a festival often celebrated on August 1st, marking the halfway point between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox, as well as the first harvest of the wheel of the year. Lughnasadh is the old Irish name for the festival - and the old spelling too. Fun fact: Lúnasa is actually the Irish word for August! Lammas is the more English Anglo-Saxon name. It's not too late to celebrate! Lammas is not just one day, but a portal, a Season. Time is hyperlocal, and traditions vary. While some celebrate on August 1, some celebrated much earlier on "Lunar Lammas" with the 8th Full Moon after the Winter Solstice, which fell on July 29. "Solar Lammas" is on August 6 this week! This replay from the Wild Wellness Women's Circle is an opportunity for you to celebrate now too. Lammas invites us all to reflect on the first harvest—both in Nature and in our lives. It asks: What has come to fruition? What still needs tending? And what might be time to let go of? Press play to hear more about... - Honoring grief this time of year even as we hold joy, the tension between opposites and the magic that can result - Reflecting back to Imbolc on Feb 1, seeing what has bloomed and what hasn't - Reasons why we sometimes don't get the harvest we expected, and what to do with that - Slowing to the pace of Nature as much of the animal kingdom is really quiet this time of year in the oppressive heat, and how this can be our permission slip too Ways we can walk together this Summer: Learn about one-on-one guidance here.Let's connect on Instagram or Facebook!Grab any of my Free Resources here.Sign up for a free curiosity call here.
