Self Centered Truth

Danielle Crofts and Julie Winder

Remembering the truth within. Hosted by two best friends, on a mission to help you find the truth, peace, and purpose that's already inside you. Every episode is a conversation about the things that keep us disconnected from ourselves and from God, fear, perfectionism, living on autopilot, and the relentless pressure to be more than you already are. We are here to help you return to what's true and what actually brings peace and joy into everyday life. Come as you are. You are already enough. Whatever you call it, God, Source, light, truth, you belong here.

How to Build Your Child's Self Esteem and Stop Negative Self Talk

Our kids are growing up with a phone in their hand and almost no quiet to fill. When a pattern keeps showing up in life, it is not a curse. It is a blessing bringing something to our attention to clear, and learning to speak the language of spirit takes practice for us and for our children.Grounding is how we bring all of that chaos back down. We picture roots growing out of our feet, spreading as deep and as far as they can go to the center of the earth, and we breathe the peace and solidness of the land up through the body until the crown of the head opens like a flower full of white light. When life feels too loud, even leaning against a tree and asking it to help us ground can bring us back. After my six-year-old grandson dropped slime all over the rug, he sat down defeated and said, "What is wrong with me? I'm so dumb." Those words did not start with him. When someone asks a child what is wrong with them, it means something is wrong in that person's day, and the child caught words that were never about them. Five minutes of breathing on the couch, repeating "I am loved, I am enough, and I am perfect exactly as I am," settled his whole energy.Any family can start with simple tools tonight. Ask your kids what they did today that made them proud of themselves so their brains go to sleep with a positive thought. Let the shower wash off a hard day. Put every hurtful word into a big scoop of ice cream and watch it melt on the hot cement. Our kids will not remember the stuff we bought them. They will remember how they felt with us.Today's Claim: I claim my connection to self.

The True Purpose of Prayer and How to Actually Connect

Even when you're grounded and connected, it doesn't mean everything is perfect. We're still here, walking through all the highs and lows of life. But when one thing after another keeps happening, and you feel like you can't even breathe, you can pause, go to your heart space, and get centered. Then you can say, "Okay. I can do this."For a long time, we were just trying to be the best versions of ourselves we could be. We didn't even know there was something beyond that. There is, and it's all of you, but it's you in the field of God, and it's so much wiser, more peaceful, and more loving than the version of you stressing about the laundry. The first time we found that connection, it was like walking into your house after being gone way too long, sitting down in your chair, and realizing, "I'm home."It took us a long time to understand what prayer is actually for. We prayed for years, saying, "Please help me with this. Please help me pass this test. Please, please, please." We were begging some unknown parent to make life look the way we thought it should. But prayer isn't for stuff. It's for finding your connection with God. Once we started praying that way, it became a completely different journey. If this is brand new to you, don't take our word for it. Ask. Ask with a sincere, open heart, and ask for the highest truth. Ask who you really are. And if you're a little dense some days like we are, ask God to say it a little louder. Some days are clear and some days aren't, and that's normal. On the hard days, sometimes all we could do was hold the intention in our hearts. That was enough. Then something little would happen, and we would just know. We are heard. We are not alone. This Week's CLAIM: My intention to God is enough.Claim it below.

Reclaim Your Self-Worth by Healing Ancestral Trauma

One of us has a daughter who has been told people don't like her because of the color of her skin. Humans judge each other by skin color, hair, and eyes, the same way you'd judge someone by the color of their car. It says nothing about who they actually are. What she's feeling about her own skin might not even be hers. Survivors of the Holocaust passed trauma down through their family lines, and it was still there generations later. That's ancestral trauma. It lives in your cells whether you know where it came from or not. The British called India's people unclean in Sanskrit, and Gandhi refused to let that be their truth. He started calling them the people of gold instead. That one shift raised the vibrational frequency of the entire country and helped them win independence without a single war or a single gun. A simple science-backed experiment shows the same thing on a smaller scale. Two jars of rice, cooked exactly the same way. Speak love and gratitude to one every day. Speak hate to the other. One stays clean. The other turns black and moldy. That's the frequency of words made visible. The power of the collective is shown by a group of monks who moved into a high-crime neighborhood in New York and did nothing but meditate. After a period of time, muggings and crime dropped significantly, just from what they were putting into the field. Your thoughts aren't just thoughts. They're intelligence. They're frequency. What you think and speak is what you're calling back into your life. Finding Peace After Loosing a Pet Through Spiritual Connection

Losing a pet is not the loss our culture tells us it is. Our animals hold liberated frequencies for us long before we understand what they are doing, teaching us how to love unconditionally and holding space for grief we have not even processed yet. They come into our families on a kind of service contract, here to comfort us while they have their own full experience of loneliness, sorrow, and joy right alongside us.Matter is created, and it does not disappear; it only transforms, and that truth changes everything about how we walk through losing someone we love. Our pets do not vaporize when they cross. They shift to a different plane and stay close, the same way an old photo negative moves to a different stack but never ceases to exist. They show up in ways we recognize when we are willing to notice: a familiar sound, a felt presence during meditation, a cord that will not fully cut away no matter how hard we try to release it.Music holds liberated frequencies, too, and turning it on during a transition helps our loved ones cross in peace rather than in fear, even when the room around us is heavy with everyone else's grief. Holding gratitude and love in that moment matters more than we realize, because our pain can make it harder for them to let go. And if guilt ever creeps in about a pet's suffering, even years later, we can ask God and the angels to adjust that frequency now, because time works differently outside of Earth. The heart never truly loses what it loves. Connection to God, Higher Power, and Source stays open even in our hardest goodbyes, and we will see our people and our pets again.CLAIM: I claim liberation for my loved ones who have passed on and for my passing. Why You Feel Disconnected From Your Higher Power (And How to Reconnect)

This is our first Duck It Friday, and we are sitting in Sedona surrounded by yucca blooms that flower once in their life and then die, and it feels like the perfect backdrop for finding our Higher Power. For so long we thought hearing Source only happened sometimes, like if we could just do more or earn it somehow, the connection would stay. What we did not yet understand was that the block was not worthiness; it was FEAR. Letting go of fear, resentment, and doubt is what finally let truth flow in, and for both of us that meant almost a year of getting quiet, stepping back from every voice pulling at us, and choosing our connection to the divine as the one thing we would not let slip out of our hands. The layers of truth show up like old camera negatives, one layer holding the earth, another holding the angels who walk with us, another holding the ancestors who have passed, each one adding to the picture until it finally comes into full view. Asking the God/Universe directly, rather than everyone around us, changes everything. Joy stops being an occasional hit and becomes the actual baseline. And the peak, like the yucca blooms blooming just once behind us, is worth reaching for every single day. If the idea of a God has ever triggered you, or you have wondered why the connection you crave only shows up in flashes, this one is for you. YOUR CLAIM: I claim the divine presence of God and truth in my life every day. Just as easy as it is to breathe. Claim it below.
