Why I Publicly Quit Astrology (and What Brought Me Back)

I used to treat astrology like a Da Vinci code. I thought if I could just crack the right combination of transits and placements and timing, I could engineer the perfect life. 😮‍💨🙃 Then 2023 happened: one of the most stressful years of my life. I gave birth, lost my grandma, and my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer. I spiraled, obsessively tracking transits, looking for reassurance in my mom's chart while she was going through one of the hardest times of her life. So in early 2024, I did something that still makes me cringe a little: I publicly announced I was no longer an astrologer. What I didn't know then is that the break gave me exactly the perspective I needed. And what I figured out changed not just how I use astrology for myself, but how I teach it. Today I'm sharing the reframe I got from the brink of saying goodbye to astrology forever–the shift in perspective that transformed my entire relationship with the stars. I also share 6 practices I now use to engage with astrology as a spiritual curriculum instead of a rulebook, a prediction machine, or something to outsource your inner knowing to. This one's personal. I hope it lands for you 🫶🏼 In this video: 0:00 — Why I walked away from astrology in 20242:30 — The trap of predictive astrology and how it fuels anxiety5:15 — The reframe: astrology as a spiritual curriculum8:00 — Practice 1: Manifesting (co-creating, not forcing)9:30 — Practice 2: Self-reflection through transits10:45 — Practice 3: Aligned action12:00 — Practice 4: Shadow work and your birth chart13:30 — Practice 5: Mindfulness and the cosmic calendar14:45 — Practice 6: Connecting with Source16:00 — What happened with my mom and Pluto conjunct her MoonMentioned in this video: Get the free 450+ Cosmic Self-Care Practices Guide If this resonated: Leave a comment and tell me if you've been through something similar, what resonated, and what you'd like to see me make a video about next. 💜✨Find me here:IG: https://instagram.com/dana.solaraTiktok: https://tiktok.com/@dana.solara

My Secret to Thriving in Mercury Retrograde

Mercury retrograde has a reputation for being one of the messier astrology transits, and Mercury retrograde in Pisces 2026 earns that title. Mercury is in detriment AND fall in Pisces, which means the details get fuzzy, feelings cloud the facts, and everything feels a little sideways. But I've stumbled onto a way of working with Mercury retrograde that has genuinely changed how I experience the whole transit. I'm calling it the Mercury Retrograde Makeover, and by the end of this video, you'll have my two-step process for turning the most complained-about transit in astrology into something you can actually use.In this episode: - Why the "Mercury retrograde is going to suck" mindset makes it worse (this is neuroscience, not spiritual bypassing)- What happened when this Mercury retrograde hit my sixth house — and what it revealed- The Mercury Retrograde Makeover: what it is, why it works, and how to use it- The two-step process for finding YOUR personal makeover based on your birth chart- Why Mercury retrograde is a feature, not a bugAnd before you come for me, this isn't about pretending the retrograde isn't messy. It's about choosing how you experience the mess–which is how you also find the gold in it.🎁 Grab the free Astrology Cheat Sheet — includes a tutorial for pulling your birth chart for free, house keywords, and my three-step process for reading your placements so you can find your Mercury retrograde house: 👉 https://danasolara.com/cheatsheet Connect with me! 💻 youtube📲 TikTok & Instagram: @dana.solara

March 2026 Astrology: The Month the Fog Lifts — Virgo Eclipse, Pisces New Moon & What Comes After the Breakdown

February was a lot. Like, a lot a lot. If the last few weeks have felt like the ground shifted beneath your feet, you're not imagining it. Astrologically speaking, February 2026 was one of the most pivotal months of the year, and we're still very much in the aftermath of it as we move into March. If February was a wrecking ball, March is rebuilding from the rubble. In this episode, I'm breaking down the full March astrology forecast: what just happened, what's coming, and most importantly, how to use this energy intentionally instead of just white-knuckling your way through it. What we cover in this episode: The February recap — Saturn into Aries, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction (a once-every-36-years event), eclipse season, and Mercury retrograde in Pisces. Why it all hit so hard, and why we're still feeling it. Early March (1st–9th): Still in the aftermath — The Virgo lunar eclipse on March 3rd, what it's asking you to release, and how to find your house topics so this forecast actually applies to your life. Plus: Venus entering Aries and why that energy can be both bold and combustible. Mid-March (13th–18th): Intensity builds — Mars conjunct the North Node, Mercury conjunct Mars (retrograde), and why some of the most productive conversations can also be the most confrontational ones. How to tell the difference between a fight worth having and one that isn't yours. The New Moon in Pisces on March 18th — The exhale after everything. Why this new moon feels like integration, and the one question to sit with when it arrives: what do I actually want? (Felt, not thought.) Late March (20th–30th): The turn — The Spring Equinox and Mercury stationing direct on the same day, what that means for the plans you've been sitting on, and how the Sun conjunct Neptune and then Saturn gives you first the vision, then the structure to actually build it. Venus conjunct Chiron in Aries — Where resentment has been quietly building, and why this moment might crack it open in a way that's ultimately really healing. Venus into Taurus on March 30th — Finally. A little relief. Grounded, embodied, sensual energy that brings the boil down to a simmer. The big question of March: Now that the old thing is gone — who are you, and what do you actually want to build? Ready to go deeper? If this episode resonated and you're realizing that the real work isn't understanding your patterns — it's actually interrupting them — my free Inner Critic Guide is a good place to start. It'll help you figure out which inner critic archetype is running the show for you, and give you a first look at how to work with it instead of being steamrolled by it. 👉 Grab it here: danasolara.com/innercriticguide Chapters: 0:06 — Welcome and Intentions2:33 — February Recap: Big Shifts2:58 — Saturn in Aries Themes5:29 — Eclipses and Mercury Retrograde6:54 — March Rebuild Question7:47 — Personalize by Rising Sign8:54 — Setup and March Structure9:56 — Early March Aftermath16:32 — Virgo Eclipse Deep Dive22:17 — Mid-March Intensity Builds25:27 — Messy Mercury Dialogues26:36 — New Moon Reset in Pisces29:41 — Chart Breakdown and Venus Square31:51 — Retrograde Dot Connecting34:06 — Equinox and Mercury Direct36:27 — Sun Meets Neptune: Vision38:03 — Sun Meets Saturn: Structure40:26 — Venus Conjunct Chiron: Healing Edge43:33 — Venus Enters Taurus: Relief47:59 — Final Takeaways and FarewellConnect with me: Instagram & TikTok: @dana.solaraYouTube: @dana.solaraWebsite: danasolara.comIf you found this helpful, subscribe so you don't miss next month's forecast — and leave a comment on Spotify if you have questions about your chart or anything we covered today.
