This podcast was recorded inside SCI Muncy State Correctional Institution. Muncy is medium/maximum security prison that houses Women located in Pennsylvania.
Self-Identities is a podcast that engages conversations with convicted women murders who are facing a life sentence. This is an educational podcast and does not deal with the women’s crime. Instead, the focus is on their stories and who they are as individuals. Moving away from the sensationalizing aspects of true crime. This podcast aims to educate and engage the listener. Hosted by feminist criminologist Dr. Kathryn Whiteley, co produced by AJ Nutter.

Heather
Heather was arrested when she was 35, and at 36 he was incarcerated at SCI Muncy. She is 53 years old, and has served 18 years of her sentence of life without parole.

Jessica
Jessica was incarcerated at age 16 and has served approximately 25 years of incarceration. She was originally to serve a life without parole sentence, however, was resentenced as a juvenile and is now serving a 35 year to life at SCI Muncy.

Erica
Erica was 29 when she was arrested, and she is now 43 years old. She has been incarcerated for approximately 14 years. She is serving a life sentence in SCI. Muncy.

Jean was arrested in 2004 at the age of 45. She is now 64 years old and has been incarcerated for just over 18 years, and is serving a life sentence at SCI. Muncy.

Nacola
Nacola was 32 when convicted and she has served approximately 11 years of her life sentence. She is incarcerated at SCI Muncy.

Marilyn
Marilyn was arrested in 1972, when she was 19. She has been incarcerated for approximately 52 years and serving two consecutive life sentence in SCI Muncy.
