    4. Diet culture on social media, food rituals & culture, Instagram food ‘influencers’ with Sophie G

    On this episode we are joined by Sophie Gastman from @sophiesplate on IG. Sophie is a registered associate nutritionist who currently works as a social media consultant alongside other food and nutrition related projects. She is infamous for her porridge bowls, authentic recipes, debunking diet myths and trends and much much more. On this episode we discuss a range of topics from the influence and dangers of social media on promoting diet culture and myths, rituals around food that are influenced by our cultures, travelling, the importance of research and creating authentic recipes as a food content creator,some of the challenges around being a food ‘influencer’ on Instagram and working with brands & much much more!     3. IBS, mental health, online teaching during lockdown & France vs U.K. food scene with Alexandre

    Alexandre is from Lille, France and is an English teacher at multiple universities. In light of IBS awareness month (April) and Mental health awareness month (May), Alex shared his personal experiences of having IBS and how it has impacted his mental health. We also talk about the low FODMAP Diet - this diet is designed to help people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and/or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) figure out which foods are problematic and which foods reduce symptoms. We also share our experiences of teaching during lockdown - the highs and lows and how it impacted us. Lastly, we end with why we love the London food scene so much.

    2. PCOS, self-confidence and becoming a personal trainer with Amrita

    On this episode Amrita opens up about PCOS and how it impacted her self confidence, mental health and attitude towards food, we also touch on the issue with BMI. Now, Amrita is building up her self confidence through her new found love of personal training (she recently qualified to be a personal trainer during lockdown whilst juggling with a full time job) and hopes to share her experiences to help others.

    1. Growing up British Indian & going to an all girls school with Bishalee

    On this episode, Amesha and Bishalee talk about growing up British Indian, going to a competitive all girls school and being compared to your siblings/other females and how these can impact our relationship with food.  *please note that the end gets cut off randomly (sorry!) but we spoke about our goals for the future (food related) and we said we wanted to try eating and cooking Caribbean cuisines & diversify the cuisines we try our in general.
