    18. How to Stop Fighting Food and Start Listening to Your Body with Stephanie Mara Fox

This week’s episode is about food and body image — a topic that comes up again and again with the high-achieving women I work with. So many high-achievers— myself included — have struggled with this.  Body image becomes another way you perform, and food becomes another thing to control. Y ou try to eat as healthy as possible to feel safe, to manage how you look. And then binge eating can show up almost like an antidote to all that control — but also as a way to regulate yourself, to cope with the pressure you’re under. To dive into this subject, I invited a true expert: Stephanie Mara Fox. I think you'll find the conversation valuable.  Find a summary of this episode at: theselflovepath.com/18 About Stephanie:  Stephanie Mara Fox, PhD in progress, MA, CMBEC, CHC, CYT, is a Somatic Nutritional Counselor and Mentor with a Master’s Degree in Somatic Psychotherapy.  She is the creator of Somatic Eating®, a body-oriented, sensation focused therapeutic approach to eating. 16. Why Slowing Down Actually Speeds You Up

We're back! Season 2 of Self Love Path Podcast is here! ----- What if everything you've been taught about productivity is backwards?  What if the secret to getting more done, creating more impact and feeling more alive isn't about speeding up, but slowing down?  I know it might sound counterintuitive. We live in a culture that worships busyness. Where walking fast means you're important. Where exhaustion is a bit of a badge of honor and we're slowing down feels dangerous. Like you're falling behind, missing out, losing the race. But the truth is, life is not a race. There's no finish line except perhaps death. This summer I caught myself falling back into old patterns. And in this, I realized something profound. I was disconnected from my own rhythm. In this week's episode, I'm speaking about the revolutionary act of slowing down.  How it actually speeds up your results, deepens your impact, and reconnects you to the truth of who you are. 15. Why People Pleasing Has Nothing To Do With Pleasing

In which areas of your life are you saying yes, when you really want to say no, because you are afraid of the consequences of a no? Maybe you take on an extra project at work, even if you know it will burden you?  Maybe someone asked for your time or energy, and you hear your mouth saying sure, no problem even if it actually is a problem? If someone asks for your opinion, do you say what you thin they want to hear, or do you share what is true for you? You might think being agreeable or being the yes person at work is just you being helpful, kind and generous.  The truth is, this has little to do with being kind.  Today, I’m talking about the misunderstood behavior so many high-achieving women struggle with: People-pleasing. We’ll explore why it’s not really about pleasing others, but about keeping yourself emotionally safe, and how learning to say no can actually deepen connection — not destroy it. This is the final episode of Season 1 of Self Path Podcast. I'll be back in August again.  Are you ready to find the courage to say no and finally speak your needs? I'm going to work with a handful of private clients this August.  If you feel you'd like to be one of them, shoot me a message at monika@theselflovepath.com  Stuck in perfectionism, procrastination and busyness, while not really getting anything meaningful done? 14. The Hidden Shame of an Empty Summer Calendar

Summer is here and for most of us summer means vacation and taking a break from our normal routines. In the Nordics this week marks the celebration of midsummer – which is one of our biggest holidays. Summer is marketed as our prime time.  Everywhere you look it seems like people have sexy and exciting plans. Everyone’s tanned, everyone’s surrounded by friends, family, a good looking man and happy kids, everyone has flowers in their hair, cute summer dresses and it seems as if the sun is always shining. One moment on social media and you feel lonely, anxious and unhappy with your life.  You consume a 10 second reel from someone else’s life, and conclude that they are doing much better at life, while you are failing and living a boring life.  You feel stressed that you haven’t made big enough summer plans. You feel sad and disappointed that you haven’t been invited to the summer party everyone else is going to.  Maybe your friend has holiday plans she happily shares with you, but at the back of your mind you’re thinking:  “Why am I not invited? “Why am I always the one who has to invite myself to events?” In this week’s episode, I also talk about how unstructured time — like summer holidays — can be especially triggering for high-achievers.  When the work calendar disappears, all of a sudden you’re left with this blank space. And if you’re used to defining your worth by doing, that space can feel unbearable. Stuck in perfectionism, procrastination and busyness, while not really getting anything meaningful done?
