Self-Made Is A Myth - Make A Difference Together

Coach Tim Campsall

No one is really self-made! We don’t get to where we end up alone. We’ve all had folks in our journey who’ve helped us achieve our success. Many times those folks don’t even know the impact they’ve had. So, in honor of the fellow business owners in your life that had an impact on you becoming the person you are today, the Self-Made Is A Myth movement celebrates them.

Episode #191: Kevin Chenault - kei

In 2015, when Kevin Chenault launched Blackstrap Media, the traditional advertising landscape was already a crowded space. However, Kevin—a new entrepreneur with roots in visual storytelling and a passion for bold ideas—saw an opportunity to leverage social media platforms for creative advertising by focusing on what works natively within those platforms. “The best ads don’t look like ads,” and this philosophy has guided our approach since day one. In 2025, Blackstrap Media rebranded as kei, a digital advertising company with a more focused approach to the evolving digital advertising landscape. The name “kei” (pronounced 🔑), with its unique spelling of a common yet empowering word, reflects our commitment to embracing bold, non-traditional ideas to address evolving challenges. Since our inception, we’ve been honored to partner with forward-thinking businesses and innovative startups, crafting campaigns that leave a lasting impact. But our mission doesn’t stop there: kei is built on the belief that creativity should serve a greater purpose. By aligning with organizations that embrace change, we ensure that when our clients succeed, so do the communities we touch.       ------------------ Want to work with us to achieve your personal dreams and business goals?
