SENSI: Empowerment For Pussies

SHAE

SENSI: Empowerment for Pussies is a bold, soulful, and unapologetic podcast by and about sensitive folk who are done living like their sensitivity is an oopsies. Through raw reflections, spiritual insight, and the occasional F-bomb, your host Shae turns the old idea of “weakness” on its head, offering a grounded path to empowerment. Unafraid of the darker sides of sensitivity, Shae shares candidly and compassionately while steering clear of sugar-coating. She encourages you to take agency over your sensitivity, not merely to accept it (or make an exception for it). Come along on the journey as she reads things and deepens the learning herself, constructing language and a framework for the sensitive experience. Beginning in THE STEREOTYPE, grasping at the ill-formed and often ineloquent experience - PRECISELY because it is cringe, PRECISELY because it is “oversensitive”, PRECISELY because she’s stuck - up and through the rage and realized unfairness (done to or by her) to THE STEEZE, and onward to mastery of the self and beyond. For the HSPs, the deep thinkers, the empaths, and anyone who’s ever been told they’re “too much”, get ready to immerse yourself in deep study and identity work.

    SENSITIVITY and CONSCIENCE

What does it mean to live with a clear conscience in a world that feels increasingly disoriented? In this episode, we dive deep into sensitivity through the concepts of conscience and consciousness. Far too often, we treat our conscience like a tool for punishment—lashing ourselves or others with shame under the guise of "holding people accountable." We trade our internal guidance for rigid, external binaries that allow us to detach emotionally instead of doing the messy, sacred work of personal discernment. We explore how to reclaim your conscience as a tuning fork or a compass that fuels your sense of integrity and behaviour. By stepping into "pure consciousness"—the quiet space of the observer—we can learn to safely hold the immense weight of what we sense without being destroyed by overwhelm. Finally, we get into a discussion about the difference between good and bad (also to be published as a blog post), challenging the cynicism that labels goodness as weak or naive. Goodness is actually a fierce, robust, and rebellious choice. Some things discussed inside: The difference between genuine conscience and weaponized shame. When alignment disrupts your old routines, habits, and relationships. Why badness relies on the inherent value of goodness to exist.Shifting from a defensive, protective mindset to an alert, empowered innocence. Enjoyed the deep dive? Share it with a fellow sensitive soul who needs to hear it too! ... [Originally recorded sometime in May 2026.]

    SENSITIVITY and CONSCIOUSNESS (tw)

Let us look at consciousness not as something we decide with—but something we see from. In this episode, we draw a crucial distinction between consciousness and conscience—between awareness itself and the impulse to judge, analyze, discern, and decide. We are gonna slow everything down and return to the place before meaning, before hierarchy, before right and wrong. This is an episode about seeing before dissecting. Perceiving before directing. Sensing before deciding. We examine how our culture overvalues logic, productivity, and discernment—often at the expense of our ability to feel, imagine, and stay present. When there’s too much pressure to interpret, perform, or be correct, we lose access to sensation itself. We become disoriented. Senseless. Ashamed. And shame, as we explore here, is not just emotional pain—it is corrosive to consciousness. It erodes our will to live, our capacity for joy, our ability to be seen or to see clearly. It turns life-affirming experiences into punishment and teaches us—quietly, relentlessly—that our very existence is a problem. In contrast, pure consciousness is shameless. Not un-shamed. Not defiant. Simply without shame. Sensitive people, by nature, are often oriented toward this state—bold, expressive, curious, emotionally alive—not because they’re rebellious, but because they don’t instinctively perceive what they’re “supposed” to be embarrassed by. This episode reframes sensitivity, imagination, vulnerability, and softness as legitimate modes of knowing—facets of consciousness experiencing itself. We talk about: Consciousness vs. conscience (and why confusing them costs us our vitality)How shame pollutes perception and fragments the relationship between instinct and actionWhy meaning is a filter—and how filters bias what we seeShameless living as a return to life’s natural momentumReclaiming what you’ve been shamed out of: joy, curiosity, play, sensuality, emotion, imaginationWhy validating your subjective experience isn’t about “truth,” but about legitimizing your own awarenessAt its core, this episode is an invitation to stay close to the unpolluted wellspring—to sense from where life actually begins. To stop pre-emptively apologizing for existing. To let “I’d rather be dead than this” soften into “I’d rather live.” Because consciousness has only one orientation: toward life. And reclaiming that is freedom. _____________________ Watch the episode on YouTube with an extra 29 minutes of content (lol) Other links: www.instagram.com/thehealinghutcollective www.underthehut.ca
