    Session 5: Seth W.

    Seth walked into therapy because his marriage was in trouble. It was more than in trouble, it was in crisis. Seth and his ex-wife could barely stand being in the same room together. Because the state of the marriage was in such dire straits, they decided to sign up for a multi-day Couples Intensive. Little did Seth know, it wasn't the marriage that would be getting healed.. It was his own heart. Seth began a journey that he would later say changed everything. And it would come at a cost that most people just aren't willing to pay. The heartbreak of a marriage beyond repair, the wounds of a little boy who needed his dad, and the hope of a future that might someday redeem the whole thing.

    Session 4: Hanes T.

    Hanes was 47 years old when he first walked into the doors of SESSIONS. From the outside, he was living the dream. Married to the love of his life for over 2 decades. 4 beautiful kids. Successful business owner. Big house. Lots of friends. Living. The. Dream. But on the inside… Hanes knew something wasn’t right. He knew there was more. There were things he had never talked about with anyone. And he was finally ready to ask for help. Hanes came in to therapy to talk about the man he had become, and the man he still desperately wanted to be. What he didn’t expect was how much he would end up talking about the little boy he had always been.

    Session 3: Jessica S.

    Jessica grew up homeschooled, in a loving family, with big dreams for her future. Coincidentally, Jessica was raised in the same hometown as her therapist Brendan. They both were grew up in the beautiful, rainy, progressive college town of Eugene, OR. Jessica and Brendan had one other thing in common too.. they couldn't wait to get out. Jessica landed at Belmont University in Nashville, TN where she began a dynamic journey of self-discovery. What she discovered was that she was driven, ambitious, and had a deep longing for meaning and connection in her life. And what happened next came as a surprise to everyone in her life, even Jessica. She found herself working in the fast-paced, creative world of professional recording artists and musicians. And almost immediately, Jessica knew she was home. She had found her calling. Jessica is now a successful artist manager based in Nashville, TN and her work has her jet-setting all over the world. It hasn't always been easy. In fact, what she didn't anticipate, was that the life she had chosen for herself came with many unique challenges and trials. In this episode, Jessica sits down with her therapist Brendan to talk through the highs and lows, and how her therapy sessions have been her saving grace throughout the process.

    Amanda grew up in California and was raised in the church by loving parents, but quickly started seeing that her childhood was anything but perfect. In fact, the first chance she got, she left home and put her childhood in the rearview...at least she thought she did. Amanda found herself at 18 years old, on her own, thousands of miles away from everything she knew, in the bright lights of Nashville, TN.     Session 1: Adam T.

    Adam grew up in a small town in west Tennessee with a suicidal mom and no one around him with any answers. Adam experienced things at a young age that no one should ever have to experience. He would try to leave it all behind by moving to the big city of Nashville and throwing himself into his work. But everywhere he would go, there he was. Adam was never quite able to outrun his painful history, and constantly experienced mysterious physical ailments, crippling anxiety, and a dark hopelessness that seemed to follow him everywhere. Adam had all but given up, and then he came to SESSIONS. Listen as Adam and SESSIONS Founder & Clinical Therapist, Brendan McCarthy, sit down for a candid conversation about the incredible journey they have been on together.
