    The Texas cold snapped harder than expected and tested every weak link we had.  We call Christina for a raw perspective of her first Texas freeze.  She brings the receipts on procrastination and nudges us to share more of who we are.  So we do: We talk about how 50 acres in East Texas became a refuge for dogs to live out their lives, and why that mission demands a different kind of resilience.  If this storm taught us anything, it’s that comfort is engineered, community is chosen, and the dogs still expect breakfast on time.
