22: Hell on the Halifax (A Mob Tale)
Life in the mob was hell for Freddie Cobo. By 1978 he'd crossed lines he thought he'd never cross — including committing multiple murders. But getting out of "the life" was easier said than done, especially when your boss is the most vicious and feared mobster in the city.

21: The Cinnamon Standoff (Miss Monette's Mysteries #1)
In 2002, somebody broke into Big Ed's Junkyard and "stole" 7 old, out-of-circulation school buses. But rather than drive them out of the open gate to get away, the thief or thieves simply left the old buses stranded against the fence inside the yard... why?
That's exactly what Miss Monette is determined to figure out. But will this seemingly unimportant mystery unravel into something much bigger than a simple break-in gone bad? Does this odd little happening even really matter? The answer to both of these questions is a resounding YES.
