    Dr. Russ Kennedy - Pain is the Portal In

    Dr. Russ came to us highly recommended by Gabby Reece and boy what a suggestion. The moment we connected, Chris and I knew we were in for a fun, informative and deeply authentic ride.  Dr. Russ LIVES what he teaches and his approach is a deeply integrated system that involves neurobiology, psychology and embodiment practices. Furthermore, he speaks from personal experience, as he has learned through his experiences on how best to metabolize trauma, make meaning of our pain and integrate our present with our past.  This was one of my favorite conversations of the season and I hope you will enjoy.  Please check out Dr. Russ' book, Anxiety RX and his website for more on his method, offerings and ways to connect with him.     I "met" Gabby early in the pandemic and had the incredible opportunity to connect with her on multiple podcasts, including her own. So when Chris and I birthed this idea, Gabby was top of my list to invite to our lair.   This conversation is exactly the way Gabby is- real, authentic, no BS, vulnerable, willing to be imperfect and a masterpiece at the same time. We talk about her journey, what she has learned, aging in the business of performance and beauty and much much more.  She has been in the game of top performance for more than half of her life and she's found her way to the top in multiple arenas.
