All the Parts of You with Georgia Holleran

My guest on this episode is the lovely Georgia Holleran.   She has spent her life researching how we can make the best of our time on this planet, without letting ourselves get in the way. Her background is in the arts, education, neuro-linguistic programming, cognitive hypnotherapy and a research Masters.  She’s an educator, writer, speaker and the author of The Last Self Help Book You’ll Ever Need.  In this book, she summarizes the best she has learned … so far and she teaches you how to use it as a Self Help book catered to the very person it’s meant to help…YOU.  Which is why it’s the last one you’ll ever need! We talk about how there are many different parts of ourselves and she refers to this as the “14 ladies” which I love.  She helps us see how we can have a healthy relationship and engage with, and most importantly love, all the parts of ourself that are also on this journey with us.  She also gave me a beautiful visual of how we those of us who are on similar journeys are this beacons of light all around the world and we just have to link up with each other and each put our beacon out so the others can see our light and we can see theirs. I laughed through this entire episode with her and I absolutely love her take on things and her energy. I think the biggest thing I got out of our conversation is to let go of the clinging energy I sometimes get stuck in and what is meant for me will find me and it will just flow.  I know you’re going to love her as much as I did. Pick up her book on Amazon called The Last Self Help Book You’ll Ever need and sign up for her newsletter, The Wandering Lightbulb, to stay connected and remain in this energy.  Visit her website at georgiaholleran.com to see everything she’s up to. Fiercely Authentic with Michele Johnston

Wow! This guest has such a beautiful energy, and the timing of this episode was perfect. I spent the weekend with some amazing women in my Conscious Connection Circle (more about that at the bottom), where we held space for each other to level up and move closer to our future selves. This episode is all about showing up authentically, the pivotal moments that change our lives, and how we're not meant to do this alone. Michele is a slayer of limiting beliefs in pursuit of living her best life! Raised with a strict religious ideology of what a woman “should be”, she married young and became a devoted mother of four. For years, she masked her struggles to fit society’s perfect mold. As her kids got older, she prioritized self-care. Pushing a truck full of kettlebells was her “aha” moment, revealing her incredible strength—physically and mentally. Michele dove into fitness and embarked on a journey of self-discovery, self-love, adventure, and grace. Now, as a motivational speaker and empowerment coach, she inspires fierce women to rediscover their authentic selves, fall in love with their quirks, and live life unapologetically! Creative Magic with Laura Westman

I am so excited to bring this episode to life.  Laura Westman is an amazing creative spirit and has the most beautiful energy. I could have talked to her all day.  Laura is a credentialed coach, ontological leadership trainer, a musician and songwriter, an author, co-host of West of Wonderland Podcast, and host of The Creativity Broadcast on YouTube. She's also a former specialty coffee barista and a total fiend for all things magical that feel like they are "off-limits" to functioning adults. She's infinitely curious about who you have to become to let your dreams become reality. She believes everyone deserves to feel a passionate sense of creative joy and magic. Her philosophy is that creativity is how we connect with ourselves, the deepest kind of magic of all.  In Laura’s own words, she’s this kind of coach: “I’m a “let’s be fantastical and delusional and still watch it all work out!” coach.  I’m a “oh, you’re in a dark time, let’s be together in the dark and see what kind of light presents itself” coach. I’m a “who is your dream asking you to be?” coach.” She also offers digital courses and masterminds on tapping back into your creativity and uncovering your creative magic.  Talking to her gave me so much excitement about my own creative and business endeavors.  She gives you permission to dream, to be silly, to laugh, but she also manages to juggle several avenues of her business like the pro that she is.   We talk about how to find that intersection between feral creativity and building an actual structured business.  We talk about the crazy ideas that scare us and how to show up with all our wild ideas and own them because someone else (like me) may very well need them and think they’re brilliant!  This episode reminded me of why I’ve been on my own creative journey for the past two years and can’t go back to sleep!  I just wanted to stay in her energy! It’s also a great episode for anyone who loves Disney and all things magical!  By the way, I’m still waiting on the workbook for how to structure my business after a Disney park! Please listen in and follow Laura, as well as this podcast for more permission to be wildly creative!   Free 8-Step Guide: Uncover Your Creative Magic: www.laurawestman.com/uncover  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/westygrammed Website: www.laurawestman.com  Check out her book, How to Be Creative in the Age of Digital Noise: Buy Laura's Book

    Powerful Connections

Powerful Connections with Conscious Connection Circles and Living Intentions Lists: In this episode, I'm talking with Mare from the Podcast, Connection Project 360. On it, she and her friend Tara talk about getting clear and claiming what you want out of life through conscious connection circles and living intentions lists, and so much more! Listen and follow her podcast: Connection Project 360 and visit her website at connectionproject360.com for new things coming soon!    Mare and I talk about how she created conscious connection circles, what they are, and why they are one of the most important things you can do.     Creating a list based on the things you want to do to live your best life. It’s as simple as a bucket list, but it’s really so much more.  You get to share, and hear other's heart songs.  You’re part of a trusted group when life gets hard, to help you process your goals and dreams and life path and to help you show up as your highest and best self.  Accountability, witnessing, nudging, non-judging.  You have a witness to your life, and you get to be a witness to others.  This raises the frequency of the world.    It’s all ENERGY.      Some of my favorite quotes from Mare’s podcast:  “Supporting others inspires us”  “I can be believing eyes for you.”  “The human experience is an experiment”  “We do need each other.  Being in a circle helps us see in ourselves what we see in others.”  “I see judgement dragon hell, and you see the sopping wet kitten.”  “It’s not always about checking off the things on the list… it’s often about what’s underneath it, what’s behind it.”  “I’m not in the judgement dragon of YOUR head.  I’m in mine.  Your job is to help me see my out of mine and my job is to help you see your way out of yours.”

Not A Failure Until You Stop Trying

I think the biggest thing I got out of this episode with my dad is that it's OK to try multiple things and don't talk yourself out of trying something new because you only risk failing if you stop trying! My Takeaways: Money shouldn't be the motivation. Find something that aligns with your gifts and your passion. Every single person was created with some kind of gift for doing something that makes them perfect for some job. But also,  Don't be too concerned about where the money will come from. Put your passions and gifts together and your ideas could morph into something other than what you imagined. You might find ways to make money that you never could have imagined when you started. Figure out the intersection of what you're good at and what you're passionate about. The theme for my dad seems to be a perpetual problem solver and wanting to help others. You might not see your value/gifts until you start to pursue it. Keep going even when you encounter obstacles. Don't think about all the problems with the idea at the beginning. Just start because the answers could come to you. Cathy Heller says, "Clarity comes from Action." Don't talk yourself out of starting with all the reasons it won't work. Even if others are doing it, or you wonder what makes you special, or you can't see the end at the beginning. You may do it in a way that resonates with someone because of your unique style, perspective and life experience. You may find ways to iterate and improve upon how others have done it. You might be just at the point of giving up RIGHT before you make it big.  JUST TRY: At least if you try something and it doesn't go perfectly:   You’ve learned something and are at a different point. You might Fail your way to success. Don’t let the reality check in your brain keep you from doing it. Work through those obstacles and you might find the answer. Write down your goals and ideas.  Your ideas will morph and you can look back later and see how far you've come and how they've changed. You may go from X to Y to Z and writing your process down may help you remember why you shouldn't try X again. It helps to have someone supportive to work through things with. Whether that's your spouse, family, trusted friends, or groups of people with similar goals, it is so helpful to have someone you can bounce ideas off of.
