In this episode, I sit down with Shauna Braun, the author of Dealing with the Difficult in a God-Honoring Way. Shauna’s story is one of resilience, faith, and learning to trust God in the midst of some of life’s most challenging circumstances.
From living in the breathtaking beauty of the Canadian mountains, Shauna reflects on her journey through despair, addiction, and life-altering trials. She candidly shares how God’s Word transformed her life, bringing healing and hope even when the circumstances seemed insurmountable.
Shauna’s testimony includes battling eating disorders, navigating the pain of being married to an alcoholic, and finding herself homeless and husbandless with three young children. But through it all, she found joy, provision, and the truth of God’s promises. Her story is a testament to God’s faithfulness and how His Word equips us to not just survive the furnace of affliction but to emerge stronger and anchored in Him.
In her book, Shauna addresses the hard questions many of us face:
- How do we deal with difficult people and situations while honoring God?
- What does forgiveness really look like?
- How do we arm ourselves with God’s truth to stand strong against the enemy?
She shares practical wisdom on forgiveness, spiritual warfare, and how to live with a satisfied mind anchored in God’s truth. Shauna’s passion is to help others embrace the transformative power of God’s Word and the peace that comes from trusting Him.
If you’ve ever wondered how to navigate life’s storms with grace and faith, this conversation will inspire and encourage you.
