    Well folks its been awhile... A long while but... Keith and Jon are back again. We've been in the gym training. And i don't feel that it is to cocky to say that we are still the heavyweight champions of podcasting. We are and will always remain your somewhat reliable source of information, for most things. And as we start this new season of SHAT, we are hitting on the history end of things. We are here in our research facility in the Scottish Highlands today as we discuss one of if not the grand Cazique of the long con, Gregor MacGregor. Army officer, General in the South American revolution under Simon Bolivar, creator of a fake country named Poyais and mass murderer.     Greeting to all you Shatters! Can you believe it, Stanky "Jon" Jankowitz and Nucky "Keith" C. are back in the saddle again. The band is back together for our first reunion tour. And today we are coming to you live from the Shat International Film Studio and Equestrian Center with a brand new episode about the creative hooligan, technological guru, and murderer, Eadweard Muybridge. This guy was a seminal figure in early motion picture technology. He was a renowned photographer who worked with railroad magnate Leland Stanford to answer the question; is a horse ever completely aloft as it gallops. In the process, he invented the zoopraxiscope and helped set pictures in motion! Oh... and he also happened to murder his 21yo wife's lover!     The mother of all demos: Tech prophet Doug Engelbart

    Jon and Keith are back at it ladies and gentleman. We are here at the Shat Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, in a highly guarded and secretive location in of all places, Alabama, with some exciting SHAT to share with you. So, have you ever heard of Douglas Engelbart? We hadn't either until recently. He is most famously known as the inventor of the ubiquitous computer input device known as the mouse! But there's much more you fabulous flumadiddlers. On December 9th of the tumultuous year of our Lord, 1968, he did a thing! A big thing! He demonstrated the future of computing, or as the wikipedias puts it... He did a 90-minute presentation demonstrating for the first time many of the fundamental elements of modern personal computing: windows, hypertext, graphics, efficient navigation and command input, video conferencing, the computer mouse, word processing, dynamic file linking, revision control, and a collaborative real-time editor. Engelbart's presentation was the first to publicly demonstrate all of these elements in a single system.  So sit back and enjoy as we caress your earholes with this amazing story.

    Keith and Jon here at the Shat Podcasting World HQ and Ice Cream Parlor.   We are starting season 8 y'all. I thought it was 7 but Keith sez, NO? Windows can skip from 8 to 10 so we can call it whatever season we want, as long as you folks listen and love it.   We have been out of pocket for a bit so we just wanted to share with you a State of the Shat address, if you will. We share what we've been up to, the history of Flumadiddle, why the name change and what Shat will be up to in the future.   So hop on board folks!     Greetings Shat fans, Flumadiddlers and trick or treaters of all ages! Jon and Keith are coming at you live in October of 2023 from the Great Shat Pyramid! We are kicked back in our gold encrusted Sarcophagi, handing out candy to all the little ghouls and goblins roaming about. And...     Hello all you beautiful Shat fans, Jon and Keith here, at 1 Shat Tower in scenic N. Alabama. We are in the Nuclear Research and Historical Studies Lab here on the 137th floor and folks, do we have a really big show for you this month.  We know that the Manhattan Project and Oppenheimer are all the rage, en vogue and the bees knees all rolled up into one, but what about the Alsos Mission and Boris T. Pash. The what Mission and Boris who you ask? Well jump on the Shat train here as we take a ride back into the history of this amazing story about Colonel Pash and all those gathering intelligence on and working to keep Nazi Germany from developing there own nuclear bomb.

    Skyscrapers: tech, ego and reaching for the heavens!

    Jon and Keith, here in the penthouse suite in the new Flumadiddle Towers in scenic North Alabama!  Bet you didn't know we have just completed our new Superscraper. It just edges out the Burj Khalifa as the tallest building in the world at 2725 ft! Hey, don't forget our new thrift store, mattress store, vape shop and Jack's burger joint is now open on the 100th floor promenade.  What a perfect place and time to announce the renaming of our world famous podcast Flumadiddle... Drumroll please,  we will now be officially called SHAT, by flumadiddle. Science, History, Art and Technology. Listen in on the pod for more info. Today we have a good one for you, folks. It's all about the tallest buildings ever made; that most modern of architectural marvels, the Skyscraper.
