    I am a survivor form Laos and the communist beginning live in United States in 1990

    In this episode, I share my personal journey of living under a communist system and later building a new life in the United States. Arriving in 1990, I started from nothing, facing many challenges and uncertainties. Life was not easy, but step by step, I kept moving forward and creating a better future. Today, I am proud to have a family and to see my daughter pursuing her dreams. She is currently in college studying nursing and will graduate this August. Watching her work so hard, stay focused, and push through stress reminds me how strong she is. As a mother, I feel deeply proud and grateful to support her along the way. Even though I did not have the opportunity to receive much education myself, I try to give her simple advice and encouragement. I hope my words, my experience, and my support help guide her. At the same time, being there for her also gives me strength and motivation to keep going in my own life. I also share about my work at Lighthouse for the Blind, which has been an important part of my journey. It has helped me stay active, independent, and connected, even when life feels difficult. This episode is about resilience, family, sacrifice, and hope. No matter where we start, we can continue to grow, support the people we love, and find purpose in our journey.

    1990 new life begin in USA

    In this episode, I share my journey of starting a new life in the United States in 1990. Coming as a refugee with very little, I was given a chance to begin again—but it was not easy. Everything was new to me. The culture was different, the language was unfamiliar, and I experienced a deep culture shock. I had to learn how to navigate daily life from the ground up. Simple things like communication, transportation, and understanding how things work became daily challenges. I started working in manufacturing and packaging jobs, even though I didn’t know English and had no formal education. Every day felt like a struggle, and I made many mistakes along the way. But those mistakes became my greatest teachers. Step by step, I learned, adapted, and grew stronger. This experience shaped who I am today. It taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of never giving up, even when life feels overwhelming. This episode is not just about hardship—it’s about hope, courage, and the power of starting over. If you’ve ever felt lost, struggled with change, or had to rebuild your life, this story is for you.

    Wishing everyone have a happy new year, Laos new year

    In this episode, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. April is a special time of year in Lao culture, marking the Lao New Year—a time filled with joy, tradition, and togetherness. It is a season when people travel from near and far to return home, reunite with family and friends, and celebrate life. During this festival, there is an abundance of food, laughter, music, and dancing. One of the most meaningful traditions is the water festival, where people splash water on each other as a symbol of cleansing, renewal, and good luck for the year ahead. The streets come alive with celebration, and for a moment, everyone shares in happiness and unity. Even though this time of year brings back many beautiful memories for me, it also reminds me of how much life has changed. I no longer have a home to return to in Asia. Since coming to the United States in 1990, I have built a new life here. Now, in 2026, I realize that this country has become my home. Looking back, life in Laos was extremely difficult. Under the conditions at that time, there was very little freedom, limited access to food, and constant fear. Speaking freely was not always safe, and many people faced unimaginable hardships. Survival itself was a daily challenge, and many lives were lost. These experiences shaped who I am today. Because of that past, I carry deep gratitude for the life I have now. Living in the United States has given me opportunities, safety, and the freedom to speak and live openly. It is something I never take for granted. This New Year, while I may not be able to return to the place I once called home, I hold onto the memories, the culture, and the spirit of celebration in my heart. I wish everyone happiness, good health, and peace in the year ahead. Wherever you are, may you find joy, connection, and a place to call home.

    Happy new year all celebration

    In this episode, I want to share something close to my heart—celebrating Lao New Year in April. This special time of year is full of joy, tradition, and connection. It’s when families come together, people return home, and communities celebrate with love and laughter. Lao New Year is not just a celebration—it’s a beautiful cultural tradition. We prepare a lot of food, gather to eat together, and visit temples to pray and reflect. One of the most joyful parts is the water festival, where people splash water on each other as a symbol of cleansing, renewal, and good wishes for the year ahead. Even though I am far from home, I deeply miss these moments—the togetherness, the warmth, and the sense of belonging. But in my heart, those memories are still alive. Today, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Lao New Year. May your life be filled with happiness, health, and new beginnings.     It’s about time I’m learning from my mistake episode seven

    In this episode, I want to share a real and honest reflection on everyday life—the struggles, the challenges, and the many mistakes along the way. Life is not easy. Sometimes it feels overwhelming, complicated, and heavy. There are moments when I feel ashamed, guilty, and disappointed in myself, especially when things don’t go as planned. But I’m learning to see things differently. Every mistake, no matter how painful, is part of my learning curve. It doesn’t define who I am—it helps me grow. Even though it feels like I should have figured things out by now, I remind myself that it’s never too late to learn, to improve, and to keep going. Life comes with both good and bad moments. Some days are harder than others, but each day is another opportunity to try again. This episode is about accepting imperfection, letting go of self-judgment, and finding the strength to move forward—no matter how slow the progress may feel. If you’ve ever felt like you’re not good enough, or that you’ve made too many mistakes, you’re not alone. We’re all learning, every single day. And at the end of it all, we just have to keep moving forward.
